  1. Beautiful work. You are a very talented person. Do you worry about using glass containers that might not be able to take the heat as candle and canning jars? GoldieMN
  2. Exactly! I make the candles to sell retail and want customers to keep coming back for more. If there isn't a good throw, they won't be back. GoldieMN
  3. Do tins get hotter than glass containers? Can they be picked up after a long burn? GoldieMN
  4. You bring up a very interesting point. I use pint, regular-mouth canning jars. I've purchased soy candles made by a local person as well as by the Black Crow Company which are also in this jar; HUGE sellers in this area. The hot throw is amazing from both companies so I know it can be achieved. Having said that, I certainly can try the wide-mouth pint jars to see if I can get a better throw. Thanks! GoldieMN
  5. I've tried Premier 785 in a pint jar, regular opening; and on the first burn, the top got extremely hot. Would that be because of the size of opening on the jar? GoldieMN
  6. Well I ordered some 464 (I've been using 415 and having HT problems.) If AH/RE is getting "excellent" or "strong" HT from the scents I've bought, I shouldn't be having this much trouble. They do use a zinc wick, I believe, when testing and 464. I don't add dyes, use Premier wicks (upped now to 780), use 6, 7, then 8.8% FO, and still not as strong as I want. Last batch has 10% FO which will be ready for testing in another week. The only thing I haven't changed in my testing is the wax. So figure it is time. GoldieMN
  7. Rustic Escentuals sells this: http://rusticescentuals.com/Refresher-Oil-Base.html Has anyone tried it? GoldieMN
  8. Has anyone tried half 415, half 464 just to get a better throw than just 415? GoldieMN
  9. There is a link for the 20 FOs. It won't show up once the sale is over. It is on the "Specials" page. Sorry if this has already been answered. HOT thread! Also, if you watch Facebook, they have flash sales for this 20/20 sale. Also had a $15 off $100 order a week ago which would have paid for shipping. GoldieMN
  10. They don't always have that link on the website available. Just when they are having a flash sale or whatever this one is called. GoldieMN
  11. FedEx does show up in my choice of shipping options but still as high as UPS for my location. I wonder why they don't use the Priority Mail packages like Aztec. Aztec's website says they can get up to twenty 1 oz. bottles in a $5.70 Priority Mail package. GoldieMN
  12. Looks like there are a few more I will have to order. . .next round. GoldieMN
  13. Ha! I got the samples and then three bigger bottles of oils. I always feel I have to justify the shipping so I keep adding to the order. GoldieMN
  14. $80 later. . . Yes, placed an order. lol Good time to check out the new scents. GoldieMN
  15. I absolutely LOVE their Cornbread but having problems getting a really strong hot throw. I use 415, pint canning jars, Premier wicks--now testing 780 at 8.8% oil. Any ideas? I will have to test Toasted Marshmallow as I have a bottle. Thanks! GoldieMN
  16. Go to the "specials" page and you will find the special to click on to add to your cart. You have to write down all the scents you want ahead of time, then enter them on the website. http://rusticescentuals.com/Pick-Your-Own-Fragrance-Oil-Sampler-Pack.html GoldieMN
  17. Yes, AH's Apple & Pumpkin Streudel is very nice. I'm using 415 soy and getting a good throw. GoldieMN
  18. I'll wait till you find the info. They sell both scents. GoldieMN
  19. Is the AH Pumpkin Pie or Pumpkin Pie Spice? #90 post says Pumpkin Pie Spice GoldieMN
  20. Thanks, OldGlory. I didn't realize they had this sale every month. GoldieMN
