Yes, I used wax candle paint and those lines were a killer. I am happy they turned out as I had visioned. The bottom metal part was a pain to find, but I found them and was able to achieve the look I wanted. Thanks everyone.

I am burning cranberry crunch. I love it! Even though Christmas is over with customers still want it. So I am making more candles.

I didn't want to expose the candle company that is selling these, but all of their double wicked candles look like they are too close to the edges...

Good Luck Robin. I also have an interview this afternoon and had one this morning. The interviews seem to have gotten harder than I remember. I left my job in 2003 to start my candle business and I regret I ever left the workplace. Gee it is hard to get back to working. One lady made me feel like I killed someone because I wanted to own my own business and decided this year to go back into the workplace. Well I am finishing up a basketball candle order than they are ready to deliver...Yeah!!!! :yay:

I don't see any Bismuth Ox. in this recipe. What recipe were you looking at. This matt finishing powder is so light and transparent, that it will not settle into fine lines. I don't like the smell of LoveSpell either, but I gotta tell ya guys really like this scent. I use it as a hair conditioner and body spray and guys are always asking me what scent I am wearing. DH really loves it and I only wear it because he goes nuts over it otherwise I would never use the stuff. Once I put it on I don't notice the scent. Thank God for that...

If that's the case then I need to go and buy some Yankee candles and light them all and leave on vacation. Then after my house is burned I can call my lawyer so I can file a claim and be rich. No it doesn't happen like that, there has to be proven negligence for faulty candles.

I will be making basketball shaped candles for my niece's Basketball team they will be going to the state championship the end of Feb. and my SIL wanted to handout a unique gift to all the girls and coaches.

I don't understand why you would want to marathon burn unless you were waiting for something to happen to the candle. I am assuming you have a caution label on the container that states Do not leave unattended and you left the room. If you followed all the caution label instructions and trimmed the wick every 4 hours and let it cool and relit then I can see why you would be puzzled as to what happened. I just don't get it. Yes alot of customers aren't going to read and follow the instructions but if they don't how can we be held responsible for them being neglectful. Your candle is probably safe to burn if it was properly taken care of.

Yup! I do especially if it is a scent I don't use alot.
