  1. I've tried several hazelnut Fo's and can't seem to find a good, strong one. Any suggestions? Thanks! Belinda
  2. Yes, I'm a little over an hour away from BitterCreek South and order a lot of my wax from them but I've not been overly impressed with most of the FO's that I get from them. I poured out a whole 16 oz bottle of their oatmeal cookie, it smelled so bad! But I do have a couple from them that are ok. I'm only 10 miles from Daystar (I work at the school where her son attends so she delivers to me), 15 miles from Texas Candle Supply from where I work and an hour from Houston Candle Supply. I've ordered three oils from Texas Candle Supply and they were all good and strong. He doesn't have a store front but my oldest son lives in Livingston so he just met his wife and got my order and brought it to me. I've been wanting to try some of his other oils but don't see any reviews on here about his company or Houston Candle supply and I was just wondering if someone used their oils and which ones they recommended. It's kind of dangerous for me to be that close to all those FO's LOL! Belinda
  3. I know this is probably already listed but JS country berry hotcakes and ICS Wildberry Mousse. Also, Peaks country berry hotcakes smells just like JS cbh, in my opinion. Belinda
  4. I live within driving distance of three fragrance supply companies, Daystar, Texas Candle Supply and Houston Candle Supply. I've ordered from all three and read good things about Daystar but don't read anything about TCS or HCS. I've only ordered a handful of FO's from each. Are there any FO's from Texas or Houston Candle Supply that are recommended? All three have had good, strong FO's of what I've ordered. Texas has the best leather I've smelled so far. Thanks! Belinda
  5. Thanks for your input. I have been pouring tarts and clamshells and bagging them and wondered how long they would last if I didn't sell them right away. But if I had thought about it, I'm sure Scentsy and BHG all have their's poured for months and/or years and they're still good. Belinda
  6. Just wondering how long a tart or clamshell is good after it's poured. I would think they would hold their scent for several months when you think about how long a candle might be on the shelf before it's bought but just wondered how some of you do yours. Do you think they're still as strong after being poured several months? I have been pouring several of each and was just wondering how long to keep them if they don't sell in a few months. I have some I've bought over the years and they still have a good scent to them. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks! Belinda
  7. I'm anxious to hear the results! Just let me know about the BSC. I should have some small plastic bottles coming in today or tomorrow and I will send you some of mine!
  8. I love Absolutely Fabulous Cake and Buttercream Sugar Cookie! If you need some BSC I can send you some. It was one of the first oils I bought from her and one of my best sellers. It reminds me a lot of SCR from MW but maybe a slight difference. Or maybe it's Sugar cookie brulee from NG that it reminds me of. Anyway, you'll love it! Let me know if you want me to send you some. Belinda
  9. Glad to hear everything is resolved! I've ordered quite a few oils from JS. How were the samples OOB and which ones did you order? I feel the need to order some new ones for some reason! LOL! Let us know how the blackberry pie does. That's one I've been wanting to try. Belinda
  10. Thanks Karen! You are a doll! I blended some container wax today with 4625 (4633 I think but I'm also going to try 4630) and am anxious to take some tarts of both to work with me tomorrow and melt them. I can't smell stuff here as well as I can at work. I think it's because of the hundreds of FO's wafting from my craft room! LOL! Thanks again so much for your help. I hope I'm able to help people on here one day when I get more experience under my belt. Belinda
  11. Thank you for sharing with all of us! I agree that duration/strength etc can be subjective. I've gone into the office where I work and our secretary would have one of my tarts going and I could barely smell it while they were talking about how strong it was! I was a little embarrassed by it because I thought it was weak. I am going to start experimenting with blending 4625 and container wax and see how it goes for me. I want a strong tart with at least a good 14 hours or so of scent. I've bought some from other companies that don't last as long or smell as strong but it could also be the different fragrances. Thanks again for all the input!
  12. Can I ask a question? Do you think 4625 will have a better throw than KY133? I'm just wondering since you had a tart that lasted 4 days with KY133 alone. I tested KY133 alone against 4625 and I'm not sure that I could tell a difference. I'm like you about wondering why more people don't use this wax. I love the granules. I think the other scent from AH I need to use is celtic moonspice! I've read so much about amish quilt and CM and I have samples of both but have never put them in wax. I was a little surprised that CM smelled like it does. I was expecting something different but it does smell good. Do you use molds for your tarts or pour them in cups? One reason I like KY133 and 4625 for tarts is because the wax doesn't seem to rub off on the bags as much as it does when there's a softer wax used. Please share your testing results if you test 4625 against KY133 and thanks for your reply. I may have to order some more of that wax! Belinda
  13. Thanks for your input! I understand what you mean about getting it figured out. I love the way Ky133 comes in granules. Did you ever try that one alone?I think I did but can't remember what kind of results I got. I may have to give it another try but I just ordered 30 lbs of 4625! I know that's not a lot for some but it will last me a couple of weeks with tarts. I also have a sample of amish quilt that I've had for months and haven't poured it yet but I think I will soon. I read a lot of good posts about it. I also have a sample of AH/RE that I need to pour! Thanks! Belinda
  14. Thanks! Like a lot of others on here I've been experimenting with different waxes and I think I've finally decided to use 4625 for tarts and a blend of 4625 and paraffin container wax for clamshells. I have only tested 6006 in a candle but have only done 3 so far. I have straight paraffin container wax (can't remember which IGI#) and am going to test that soon. Thanks for the input! Belinda
  15. Do you have some really strong throwing scents that you use over and over? Like most everyone here I have bought more than I will ever use but keep going back to the same ones over and over because they're strong plus smell great. Some I have smell great but just aren't very strong or don't last. I wanted to get some opinions before ordering more and get stuck with more that have a weak to moderate throw. Anyone have some "knock your socks off" suggestions! :smiley2: I especially love bakery scents but have been buying a lot of vanilla and berry scents. Thanks for all input! Belinda
  16. Thanks everyone! I may have to order a bottle of Peak's! Belinda
  17. Thanks! That would be great! Just a tart or two will be fine. OOB do you think you like Peaks better than NG?
  18. I've only tried NG's and I'm out and need to order. Since their's is the only one I've tried I just wondered if there was a better one or if anyone has used JS version or one from another supplier. Thanks! Belinda
  19. I would try to talk you out of it but I can't even talk myself out of placing yet another order for FO's that I don't need! Let us know how they smell when you get them. The only ones from MW's I've tried are Sugar Cookie Royale and Homemade cookies. SCR is great and HC is a good scent but not very strong in wax.
  20. I was going to place an order and spend my Mother's day gift and wanted to know if anyone has used this Fo from JS? Any suggestions or recommendations will be appreciated. I don't have to get Peeps. Thanks! Belinda
  21. I'm wondering if there's any other place beside Flexible Molds and Van yulay that have good, reasonable silicone or rubber molds. Also, plastic molds. I have several from Flexible Molds. Just looking for some different small cake/cookie molds. Thanks! Belinda
  22. Maybe the person on eBay will combine shipping.
  23. Iced lemon cookies is good! I like squirrelly nut and like it oob but haven't put it in wax. I didn't care for their birthday cake personally but read good reviews about it so it could just be me. I have a few more but can't remember off the top of my head. If I was at home I would go look in my FO cabinet.
