  1. I tried to sell them...but no one wanted them..LOL SO, my question is... I have this little mini carafe bottles. Perfect for reed diffusers...but..I need some ideas on how to package the reeds, the bottle of fragrances..etc. I don't have any gift boxes..and my talent right now is wiped out with all my other thoughts of getting ready for a show. Why do I always try to pack more and more and more into my booth space?
  2. Those look great! What wax were you using? Please share your tips on that one! Looks like you almost spread it on with a knife!
  3. Those are AWESOME...do pillars sell well for you? I'm trying out pillars for my show on Sunday...I hope people snatch them up too...or else the entire family is getting them for Christmas
  4. My husband picks my wax up for me from BCN when he travels that way. If I could help you in any way, I would! He still travels up to Iron Mountain every couple of weeks too. But, in an emergency, I'm in the same boat with you in shipping. It drives me NUTS
  5. Oh yes, I have...but not as time consuming as they've done it. Start with a cone mold, pour your white pillar, then when its set up, mold your wax around the outside to come up with your Frosty!! I use mini buttons for the charcoal, twig arms, tie a scarf around him...you get the idea.
  6. How'd that happen? Funny, sometimes I'm sooo close to dumping water in the pot instead of in the boiling pot.
  7. Okay, are those people in the background? Or manequin heads? Freaked me out...but HEY, cool lookin' candles.
  8. If you're going to do Spring shows, focus on Aprilish before Mother's Day. Make up Mother's Day gift baskets. Candles will definetly go down in sales, but if you do some bath & body, you should be able to help offset it a bit. Stick with summery things like, foot treatments so people are thinking sandals. Me personally, I don't do spring shows, but that's just in my area.
  9. I love it!!! I was trying to find a prim recipe with molasses in it...back to my hours of search. Love the tags too!
  10. Well wholy cow you guys!! Thank you so much!! The juniper berries are from sfherb.com...but I wouldn't suggest doing them again. They fall off. I put some in the loaf too and when I cut them, they broke apart. I'll have to see if they're a scratchy soap. The botanicals will fall off and you'd better have a strainer in your tub just so you don't clog it. I think its more of a novelty & gets people to enjoy the look of the soap too versus just the use of soap (if that makes any sense) I do let people know this ahead, that when they're ready to use them, simply brush off some of the goodies on top if it bothers them. Most don't care. They're great guest soaps, stocking stuffers. Almost a novelty, but useful Jokerjen...how are you!? I'll get your molds out one of these day.
  11. You'll do wonderfully!! Share pics if you have a chance!
  12. Alright, is there anything else I need to say? Excellent!!
  13. Your candles are the best!! Do you have lines on your mold as when to stop pouring so each level is even?
  14. Everything looks so wonderful together. That's one great presentation. PS. Love the tree!
  15. Well I'd make sure she puts all that out...maybe she's stocking herself for upcoming Christmas parties. LOL I bet this year you'll have a bigger turnout, so you'll need the extra food!
  16. How about watermarking the door behind the actual logo. Or turning the logo vertically against the door. I don't think you need a candle. I like the clean look.
  17. I love ORANGE! And its great to be different. I think the Candle Co needs to be smaller, not so prominent and pull it up closer to the Orange Door. If you're doing it in a word art box, simply make two boxes so the other can come up right underneath it. Make sense?
  18. Frosted glass flower pots is how I packaged them before. Put the petals in their own cello bag and place it inside the flower pot. But then again, these were the larger size flower pots. You could take a votive size though and put that with the petals inside the bags, place a card inside. ---or simply put them in the organza bags with a hang tag.
  19. Mine are XL pinecones dipped in wax & coated with cinnamon...since they're pretty cheap, I'm thinking $.25 each. They can brown bag up as many as they'd like. Reminds me, I need some brown bags...
  20. If you've had success with the lavender recipe, I'd stick with it. Sub out the lavender fragrance for the amount of orange/cran fo you'll be using. Are you looking at adding cranberry seeds? Orange Peel powder? Either one would work. I'd go light on the seeds. Add them at trace before your fragrance just in case it seizes or goes fast for you. What's really neat is dusting your soap with orange peel powder after you pour it. The warmth of the soap gives it almost a darken sugary look in areas.
  21. IKEA!!! Another great purchase from them...wish I had one nearby, but a five hour drive just doesn't fit in my budget right now.
  22. Those shelves are great! Where in the world do you find those at? You're display is wonderful too..I'd love to see some of those products. They look very professional, clean & ready to purchase!!!
  23. That's all i've ever used... You can spray the inside of your mold with pam & spread it out pretty darn flat. The only creases you get are down at the ends where it gathers. But those are our tester slices in our house. I don't mind creases, so I gave up pam a while ago. I like to serve my soap by the slice, so its much more of a freshness/deli feel
  24. I was just reading some of their fragrance descriptions...and chai tea is peach & woody? I think their descriptions are just fof
  25. You dipped and carved for only 15-20 minutes? I would think you'd be dipping forever just to get the layers...I soooo want to take a class in doing this...just once. Its beautiful!
