  1. Those are sensational..the tag & the lavender make it a great little finished gift. Did you stain them? It just seems that there's different colored pins going on. I could see a $3 pricetag on those.
  2. Make soap...I think its cheaper than making candles. Or how about wickless candles. Dorms can't burn candles, but they could use melters. That's something to consider.
  3. But do some fragrances actually soot more than others? if you're going to try a new scent out...and love the way it throws..do you continue to wick & jar it differently until it doesn't soot? Have there been fragrances you didn't carry because of sooting?
  4. Okay, now I need each one of you to call my husband and explain this. I light up these candles and he about freaks on me. Do your pillars sell very well for you?
  5. web address please...now I may be an addict. THANKS:D
  6. Okay, but what if you offer different shapes & heights. (sp?) Do you burn every kind? Or just a standard 3x4? And one last question...how many scents do you really offer in pillars. I ask because I'm really wanting to go back to pillars vs jars. I want shelves and shelves of pillars. What a beautiful site that would be! TIA everyone!
  7. Do you test burn every fragrance in your pillars? I guess I mean a full pillar? Or maybe you create a votive to see how it burns and then you know how your wick will perform. And if you do, are you more concerned about how it burns vs scent throw? Pillar arrangments give you a better fragrance vs just a single pillar, right? This is my experience. Is it yours?
  8. Sounds like I should go into 'hosting craft shows'! That's a lot of money they're making off the actual vendors. I wouldn't do it.
  9. This is why I don't like vanilla fragrances...PIA. So I just avoid them all together.
  10. Here's the best price I've found http://cgi.ebay.com/55-Rosehips-Potpourri-Unscented-84-95_W0QQitemZ4400858922QQcategoryZ45077QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem 55#s for $84.95
  11. I need someone that can do something relatively easily...a simply primitive sketch of a shed. Extremely primitive... I need round labels & hangtags. :highfive: TIA
  12. I want to make bread loaves now! I love that style...YUM
  13. I tried this and I do really like the texture so far. Its been setting up for just a few hours and I think its where it will remain now. I made a small approx. 400g batch with just mac oil. I'm going to do some with other oils too so I can compare which oil I really prefer.
  14. I want to see the loaves of bread too! Those look wonderful
  15. I add it before light trace.
  16. I've used it too...its the first shea butter I've ever purchased, so I don't have anything really to compare it too. But its nice! I love them!
  17. I believe M38 doesn't have any additives in it already, correct? You'll only need to add your fragrance, color & stearic acid up to 3%.
  18. I always use the butterscotch dye chips...so I'm not help. But if I want it more of a primitive butterscotch, I throw in 1/4 or a 1/2 dye chip of brown. I would think if you're starting with yellow...using brown would tone it into the gold color you're looking for.
  19. Displays take up so much room, a trailer is def. what I need, but I'm too worried on driving with it. If if just going straight, I'm fine, but any backing up would not be in my game plan at all. I usually do shows by myself, dh will help set up, but the rest is usually just me. You all must have some serious business going on with so many cases of candles. If I take 20, that's HUGE! How much does everyone sell at a show...on average?
  20. I'm thinkin you need to develop your own mottling wax and sell it to us! Beautiful stuff! Did you also use a backdrop for your photography? That's always my hardest part. I want the full studio setup.
