  1. This was just my latest question too...do you get a better throw from two wicks? And less smoke? I'm using LX20's, LX22s & 24s to do a large jar and I feel like any little air going at the wick at is throws out some serious smoke. I hate that! So if I used an LX22 for a 16oz apoth, I could go with lets say two lx14s? Shoot, more testing...
  2. I'm not so questioning your label...but do you put each one in shrink wrap..or a cello bag? Or do you leave it be? I like cello bags because it keeps the fragrance and I think people get a good whiff of the candle, but they're a pain. Shrink wrap to me stinks. What's everyone else input?
  3. It seems every lotion I try is really more of a whip/cream....HELP! I made one with sunflower oil and it was too runny. I'd like to keep it as simply as possible...oil, water...ewax. Okay, fo & preservative too.. What's your favorite oil in lotion?
  4. How the heck did your green turn out so nice and brush strokey? I love it!
  5. Instead of a lotion then...why not a sprayable body oil. Aloe Gel & Oils, in a bottle, shake and spray. Without the introduction of water, you'd be alright without a preservative, right? You then could infuse the oils with calendula, lavender, st. johns...etc..right? Or am I way off here. Its just a thought
  6. Make my own right now...but I'll be doing both soon to offer more variety
  7. I thought I'd post a candle pic....get you in the mood for the upcoming snow
  8. I've left the insert in there to keep it a shell...then you can also make your electric grubby candles this way too. Simply grubby the candle shell!
  9. I rec'd some too and wasn't thrilled.
  10. Its your first? No way! That's one perfect mottle!
  11. Well I now need to change my wax to 4045H...I was using it once..but never did they come out like THAT. What temp did you pour at? I love the color effects you've got going on there.
  12. THat's awesome! What colors did you use?
  13. :highfive: That's absolutely awesome! Congrats!
  14. Donita's idea is great! I must write that one down for future use. I actually use a wooden soap log mold. I just set the bottom edge inside and the outer edge lets the mold rest on it. Doesn't sound as sturdy as some of these other ideas. I still want to figure out how to pour nicely in the taller molds. I leave a trail of wax down the entire candle.
  15. I make mine unscented...seal them with clear acrylic spray and then put them in scented rosehips & stixs...they soak up the scent that way.
  16. How big really are they? They're awesome! Hope they sell well for you!
  17. INCREDIBLE....how long does one candle really take? I can't even phathom having the vision and carving in the right spot, twisting it just as right as the next one...no way. You're a true wax artist!
  18. Donita... What wicking do you use? Do you use wick pins for all of these? I just love this candle!
  19. I'll buy it! Seriously!! That's awesome.
  20. I couldn't pour nicely at all with a tall mold like that...no way no how! I can barely pour angles on a 3x4 mold! BEAUTIFUL!!!
