AlwaysWondering
I'm amazed at how reasonable the FOs are at The Candle Source, especially for the 4 oz size at only $4.69. Normally you don't see that "$1 per oz" price until ordering a pound or more.Overall, how is the quality. They all have hits and misses but how would you say more hits than misses regarding accuracy of scent and hot throw?I did a search but most reviews are very old since the search function has not been fixed.Thanks. Ravens
Excellent; never had a problem with them. I consider their Monkey Farts the best MF around. Give them a try, I think you'll be impressed. :-)
carol k
Ditto, excellent, fast shipping. I've never had any problems with this company.
Candlebuddy
Kinda hit or miss for me, but there are some fo's that I absolutely love. Sometimes I think that Loren's mother is rude when I place an order, but because I buy my wicks from them and I order several of their scents, I just deal with it. Shipping is fast and reasonable. number2of7
I've been using them since the very beginning of my candle-making career --- actually found them on Ebay years ago...tried them and have been in love ever since. Sure, there are ones I don't particularly care for, but it's not lack of strength!
AlwaysWondering
Thank you all so much. Plotting my order right now! I'll post my sniffing reviews after they arrive.
carol k
The pumpkin carrot strudel, vanilla pumpkin, the great pumpkin, & christmas rumball are awesome oils. Not so fond of blue xmas, & a few of his other xmas oils.
number2of7
Be sure to add Sugared Spruce to your list if you haven't ordered already -- might just be my favorite from them I see that Carol doesn't like Blue Christmas, but I actually do -- didn't have great HT in a candle, but excellent in a tart! carol k
Holy Crap. I'll bet she's replaced it with sweet rocky pine, which is not even near as good.
Jillsthings
I need to stop reading some of these threads. It makes me want to order more FO, but I already have plenty for now....I just need to keep telling myself that. Haha!
mzpickles
Don't see Sugared Spruce on ICS. Apparently they're out. It's there, just type spruce in the site search box and it'll turn up![Edited to add] It's under "Premium Oils", not the regular alphabetical listing. maryta
I use parasoy (tarts) and lots of The Candle Source throw great for me. Two of my favorites (with killer throw) have been discontinued in the last year, though ...they are Blackberry Cobbler and Starfruit and Mango. I have not found any others that are similar, unfortunately. Starfruit and Mango from NG was not nearly the same as TCS's. So frustrating. Anyway, to answer the original question, the quality is outstanding and I always have more hits than misses from TCS. Sample sizes are only $1.50, which is great.
