I just saw this lady on YouTube making pumpkin lavender cp soap. She said she just mixed the two together. Has anyone tried this combo before? I thought it sounded really interesting and I may try it out soon. I have a sample FO of pumpkin pie spice and lavender from CS. Or should I try to use a fresh pumpkin scent and not a pumpkin pie scent? Anyway give me your thoughts if you think it will be a good combo or bad or if you have made this scent combo before.

I've never smelled this so this is just a random scent impression -- If you want to go heavy on the lavender use a pumpkin that's more pumpkin than spice. The closest I've had to this is a lavender creme brule at a restraunt & I think that the pumkin scent would be similar in some ways the creamy sweet of the custard.

On the other hand if you want to go with the pumpkin spice I could see the lavender as a scent that mingles with the other spices and adds interest while letting the basic spice blend be the star.

I saw this in another thread and someone suggested using 2 parts pumpkin and 1 part lavender. I did this with q-tips in a baggie as a test. Used CS scents. Kinda nice. Different. Maybe better in wax.

The one fragrance I have never put together, yet it's supposed to have an odd appeal for people. Tell me what's it like? The only pumpkin scent I think I own any more is pumpkin ginger snap so I don't think it would work out for a personal test.

Inspired by this thread I pulled out a couple of pumpkins from my stash. Picking Pumpkins and Butternut (both from AH/RE) smelled remarkably good with all of my different lavenders.

Thanks so much for the suggestion :)

This combo is familiar. I know we discussed this in another thread about 1-2 fall seasons ago. Those that tried it loved it. For some reason the two blended together work. Thanks for bringing this up again. I'll have to remember to give it a try-- but I need the right pumpkin. Not sure this would be good with pumpkin souffle.

I know this is an older thread but I also watched this video... so I googled the combo , to see if a supplier sells it and you know the reasoning for the combo? A study was done and in the men tested it said it caused a 40% increase in blood flow to well... lets just say the combo is an aphrodisiac to men.

I had to see what this would smell like. I just mixed Butternut Pumpkin for AH and my Lavender from the Soap Dish and it does smell awesome! I am so going to soap this.

Let us know how it turns out. I bet it would be a wonderful color combo as well.

I'll let you know how it turns out.... Kyme, which pumpkin and lavender are you going to use?

I ordered pumpkin spice from SGS & I have CS lavender ( my fav) but I also have a whole bottle of SS Tassi lavender I can try too. I think I will try 3 testers . 1 heavy on the pumpkin, 1- 50/50 & 1- heavy on the lavender. Just to see which I like . Then I can make a small batch of CP.

I can't wait to hear your results. I think I will soap today. I am going to use 2 parts lavender to 1 part pumpkin. The Butternut Pumpkin is quite heavy on the spice and I did not want to over use it. Hopefully it turns out great.

So far so good. It is in the gel stage right now. I used full water and cool oils and lye and I did not have any problems with it moving too fast. It smells awesome!

I was able to unmold and cut this morning and it smells so good. The lavender is what I smell the most of, but the butternut pumpkin enhances it. It is a very clean scent and I think men and women will both like it. I can't wait to see how this turns out after a cure.

That's sounds awesome, my order arrives tomorrow. I will let you know when I try it.

Well, I had some pumpkin pie spice and I'm out of Lavender but I have some Sage Lavender so I tried that. 2/3 pumpkin and 1/3 sagelavender. Figured I'd use it with my favorite paraffin blend and continue my coconut oil experiment. In the presto it was quite nice. if it works, I'll rename it "Enhancement Enchantment" or "Libido Magic" or "HottDawg" or "Merry Musk" or "Atten Hut" or "Macho Music" or some such thing. Lets see, Living Large is probably copyrighted.

Help me out here, what other names should we use? Where's Steve Martin when you need him?

Test burn tonight, mainly to see how I like coconut oil added to the wax. I'll let you know about the "other" properties. The reason why I used sage was primarily because all I had left was the sage/lavender blend, but I do know that the girlfriend has reported that she finds sage to be arousing.

The lavender/sage is pretty strong compared to the pumpkin, but its only just lit and not a full melt pool yet.
