ky-sam
Hi everyone just wondering what everyone else is using for tarts? And How They Like It!! I am About to use Ky Para-soy
TheWickedWick
That's what I use. I do add about 20% soy to help smooth out dimples and pour a little bit cooler than recommended...145-150. Works for me.KY parasoy makes great tarts.
Cindy/WI
Me too and love it. Tried a few other waxes for tarts but always went back to KY's.
scrochet
I use KY's also and I just got in their new scent sugar corn pudding and it rocks the house. I never would have bought that scent with that name but heard great reviews on this site so I gave it a try. Boy am I glad I did. I'm calling it pink cupcakes. debele
I used the Sugared Corn Pudding in Glass Glow for tarts, and it doesn't smell as well as the sample Vickie sent me. I scent my tarts very strong, at 15%. I guess it is one of those scents that won't do well in Palm.
nmhoneybear
I think the Sugar Corn Pudding smells exactly like yummy French Toast.
von691
I used astro v wax for my tarts and votives
kestagano04
Ecosoya PB with a bit of J50.
joanncat18
Does the KY para soy wax for tarts pop out of the tart warmer easily? Thanks.
TheWickedWick
Using a butter knife, I cut the wax down the center and each side usually pops right out. If not, I place in the freezer for a few minutes...pops out no problems. HTH

joanncat18
Do you have to do a repour on 1 oz tarts with the 4795?
Ring of Fire
No repour needed on 4794. I would never waste time to repour a tart no matter what, IMO
cdesousa5
Can you use just J50 for tarts?
SOAPFREAK
I would think the J50 would be way too soft. That is mainly used for container candles.
cdesousa5
Thanks Kristy.I'll look into the IGI 4794 and see how I like it.
cdesousa5
Has anyone used this IGI 1284 for tarts? What would be the difference between the IGI 4794 & this one beside the fact that one has additives and the other doesn't?
Stella1952
I used the Sugared Corn Pudding in Glass Glow for tartsHow do you get Glass Glow out of the molds? I use NatureWax C3, Ecosoya PB, pillar palm wax (feathering & starburst) for tarts. Generally, I simply pour any leftover wax from candlemaking into molds for tarts. I don't add extra FO and they have a great HT.
judys
I use Ky also. It is great. I make lots of tarts. They smell great. A few minutes in the freezer, and they pop right out.
Dolphin146
I use ecosoya PB for my tarts. My customers just love it and my tarts smell strong through the house.
Judy, USMC
Ecosoya PB 75% and Ecosoya CB-135 25%.
WillowBoo
I used the 6006 with the 4794 and added some palm stearic. Used it for votives and tried some tarts. How can you safely cut the 4794??I just missed cutting off the top of my finger....
countyline
I don't try to cut the 4794. I put a slab in a trashbag and beat the daylights out of it with a hammer. It works best if you prop it up on something so it's not lying flat on the ground. I sometimes use my front step, but the neighbors think I'm nuts. I actually discovered it works much better in my pile of laundry. Also, you may want to double bag or use a pillow case because all that violence can take a toll on a trash bag!
