Calling All Jelly Jar Candle Makers

I was just wondering what some of your favorite wax and wicks are to use in Jelly Jars. I'm experimenting and would like some ideas on what to try.

i use ky puresoy and cd12 wicks for an 8 oz jj hth!

Try doing a search too. There should be plenty of info, since lots of people use these jars. I use J50 and a 44z for regular JJ

Mill Creek soy with 3% BW, HTP-104, C-60, or 44-32-18z depending on the FO used.

I use either 1945, Peak container blend and wick is either 44-32-18z or 51-32-18z. This all depending on the FO that is being used. I also use 6006 but can't remember what wick I used with but I think it was a 51z also. All my candles stuff and notes are packed up. HTH

I use either J-50 or Peak Performance Blend. I've been using 51-31-18z with great results. I'll be trying 44-32-18z tomorrow. I'm new so don't have much advice. Good luck

Wow, there are so many differences, I guess there are no set guidelines for what to use? I am studying candlemaking, and am sooo confused with all the numbers! Although I appreciate all you chandlers who post and make this a very informative site.

Millcreek and usually/almost always 51C, tougher FO's 60C !! Happy testing its so much fun (that is when it works out for you!). I, knock on wood have had very few problems wicking (remember knock on wood , almost afraid to say that).
