Grumpy Girl Posted April 4, 2006 Share Posted April 4, 2006 Okay, so I realize that not every supplier lists soaping notes on their site, and I for one am tired of coming up with brown soap. A girl can only have so much brown in her wardrobe. The obvious ones, I expect to turn brown, like Pink Sugar. But some scents have no indication of their shape shifting traits and just pop up out of left field. (For me anyway) So... it seems like a good idea to start a list of reference so some poor sap like me won't have to go through having tons of brown soap... unless that's your thing of course. Maybe it's just me, and I don't recongnize the obvious signs... I dunno.Feel free to chime in and add to the list if you'd like... Crafty1_AJ Posted April 4, 2006 Share Posted April 4, 2006 I like to check Lillibit's Fragrance Review on fo's before I soap them. They often note discoloration, and the degree of D. Yup, Pink Sugar goes dark fudge brown. Any vanilla goes brown, to varying degrees, but generally the more vanillin in the fragrance, the darker brown that pup will be.Old Mill's Baton Rouge browns, but a nice medium shade appropriate to the scent. Vaniglia goes dark brown. Ummmm....I know I've soaped others, but drawing a blank on them now. I'll come back when they pop into me wee brain.
