  1. Thanks for your response! I'll guess I'll have to do some experimenting!!!
  2. I've been searching everywhere, and I can't find any info on adding honey in liquid soap. I'm wondering if I can add it at trace, or can I add it after the cook, once the batch has been dissolved and cooled?? Any comments... please
  3. Thanks Barbara... I'll give it a try! I'm always afraid to break away from a true and trusted recipe, but it sounds interesting. I like the sounds of creamy!! And thanks to Talltayl for the input. I didn't even think to check the properties before posting... It was 5:30 this morning!!!
  4. I do used Turkey Red when my liquid soap has been diluted, but can I add it in the main recipe??
  5. Hi all, Quick question. My supplier has no castor oil in stock, and I have none left. I was wondering if I could use Turkey Red Castor oil instead for making liquid soap????? Any comments would sincerely be appreciated!! Thanks
  6. I'm good on the Eucalyptus.. for now I haven't really started candle production for my fall shows yet.. that will come once I'm finished my spring greenhouse, and town job rush!!! Plus the fact that my DH had a knee operation a few weeks ago, so he is out of commission for helping out in the greenhouse.. So I don't even have time to look at what I might need..
  7. I'm good Jen.. for now!! Thanks for asking!! Although if you ever ask for a sample.. I'd love to try their Ocean scent..
  8. Thank you for the tips.. I thought I had hidden it in the .gif email thingie, but I obviously didn't do it right. I'll work on it... thanks again!!
  9. sounds freaking good to me!! I wish I could say the same... I get more spam than anything else... I actually need to remove the mail address.. unless someone around here needs Viagra?????? Geeeeeeeeesh!!
  10. My website has been online for only a couple of months..... I have gotten a few phone calls for supplies (candle wax and soaping oils)... but nothing yet for the actual product... but this is Quebec.... Most of my sales are from word of mouth.. or craft fairs..
  11. The green irish tweed and irish spring from FBD are two totally different smelling fo's... in my soap recipe anyways. Scented the only other Irish Spring that I've tried is from Village Craft here in Canada. It's not bad, but it's definately not Fragrance by Design.... smells nothing like it. and of course it is one of my best sellers darn!!! I've got about 3 ounces left, so I can make one smaller batch, then after I'll be stuck!!
  12. Does anyone know if she is ever going to open again and if not, has another supplier bought her fo's. I'm particularly looking for her Irish Spring, and haven't found anything even remotely similar to that fo. Suggestions anyone? Thanks
  13. Well he is very comfortable going to public markets with our greenhouse stuff, so I thought it might be a good idea that he try just a small craft show in our home town. We had booked a table for two with some very good friends of ours, (who sell produce conifer essential oils) and we sent our two hubbies there while we did the bigger one. Ours finished at 5pm so we joined up with the guys after. (Theirs finished at 8pm) Well we got there, and they had opened a bottle of wine (of course it was hidden under the table) .. but they both did pretty well on their own.. AND they had a great time doing it which is the main thing!!!
  14. I just finished a string of 7 two day shows every weekend... Yesterday my hubby did a one day show, while I was off doing another... finally finished for the season!!!!
  15. definately lavender... one of my biggest sellers.. both in soap and candles
