Chandler hill candles
Hello all been so long since I have been here!!!!! I have worked with candles for over 16 years on and off, at times more on than off. I have always used the J223 type of wax. I am looking to dabble with some soy and wanted to get some 2 cents from the soy users on here. Perhaps some that may have used 223 and switched. I love the 223 wax scent throw, doesn't hang up on sides, does have some sinkage but I can deal with that. Any tips, advice, or opinions would be awesome. ErronB
You're used to the hot throw of the 223, you will be sorely disappointed with soy (it doesn't even compare to paraffin). A lot of people here use parasoy / coconut blends.

TallTayl
Why soy? j series waxes are still around, just not as readily available as they once were.
Sarah S
Does it have to be soy? Candlewic has some glorious paraffin waxes that are a joy to work with and throw beautifully.
NightLight
Hmmm. Honestly yes the paraffins throw well but ugh the sotting on the glass. Virgo! I hate seeing it. my favorite soys are C3 and 464 and 415. C3 to me has the best cold and hot throw, and you get nice clean glass.
