tlc26 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 My best friend is getting married in June. She has volunteered me to do the wedding favors. How lovely of her! The ideas that are in the mix are an organza bag with little hand/guest soaps (made with the Target heart mold) The wedding colors are going to be white (obiviously) and blue. the bridesmaid dresses are going to be blue..etc.I suggested to her doing white and blue organza bags with the soaps. Soaps would be blue and white. She loves WTG and wants the soaps to be WTG and another scent. What on earth would be a 'blue' scent that you would pair with it?? I am stumped. I love WTG so much on its own I haven't bothered to think about what would go with it! Now I can't think of anything that would compliment it and not be over powered by it! maybe white bags with blue soaps and white soaps with blue bags. But we might do all white bags so the blue and WTG soaps might end up in the same bag. Should I just do some bags with a different scent for both colors? Meaning blue and white soaps in each bag but 1 scent to a bag. Whatchya got guys?!?! any suggestions! She thinks something manly..but my WTG sells even better with the guys!!! I think of it as a unisex FO. She should know ..her finace was the first one to take a WTG bubble bath with the bubble bath I gave her for Christmas..and NO he is not a metro! lolSorry its so long! I tend to babble sometimesShould I have put this in another section? Quote
Groovy Chic Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 How about a white soap with blue swirls all done in White Tea and Ginger. Give the guys the ones in the blue bags and the girls the ones in the white bags. And I don't even want to know what a metro is Quote
tlc26 Posted January 16, 2006 Author Posted January 16, 2006 I forgot to mention these will be mp soaps. I would not even know how to swirl mp. I hear it is pretty difficult to do.I will have to chekc it out though. That could be really pretty! Quote
sharyl55 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Don't do much in soaps yet but I could see Fresh Linen in blue. Just spent the day making WTG rose petals soaps. 1st time I've worked with it. Now I see why everyone raves about it. Quote
elle110 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 For the white I would try to go with another very clean scent. How about Clean Cotton, Cotton Blossom, Love Spell ( I know, not clean, but classic for wedding favors), Pixie Dust, Amazing Grace...I totally agree about the WT&G being unisex, men love it!Elle Quote

sudsnwicks Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 The white part could be WTG and the blue part could be Mountain Lake. Quote
Spellkast Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 How about for blue doing juniper breeze? I've found that to be quite unisex and it's a very clean, fresh scent. Quote
Trish Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 How about for blue doing juniper breeze? I've found that to be quite unisex and it's a very clean, fresh scent.I did votives for a wedding favor in Juniper Breeze and blue! Quote

tlc26 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 what do ya'' think about green clover & aloe. I know, I know ..the name implies green, but it would be a nice blue scent I think. Quote
Scented Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Heck rename it so a person thinks blue instead of molded green Quote
sudsnwicks Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Heck rename it so a person thinks blue instead of molded green They don't even need to think blue. As long as they're not thinking green it will work. Quote
Scented Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 Well if you're labeling them then not putting Green on it, it is still renaming Green Clover & Aloe :rolleyes2 Quote
tlc26 Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Ok..now what the heck do I call it. Fresh aloe? When I think of aloe vera gel I always think of the blue stuff, but the aloe plant is green right... hmm Quote
Kaybee23 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I could almost see since WT & G is such a strong scent on it's own, maybe something like a sugar cookie or white cake.....dunno.....I like the idea of the organza bags though. Quote
Spellkast Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 You could call green clover and aloe squeaky clean...that's what it smells like to me- just a very clean, fresh scent...and that would work well with blue! Quote
sed8ed Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I think I would probably try either BlackberryTea, or Sage Lemongrass. Clean Cotton isn't to bad either.Good luck! Quote
Scented Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Call it blue clover fields lol! I don't know. My creativity isn't kicking in today. You could call it fresh and leave it at that, because I think that's a beautiful fresh scent. Quote
cindym Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Julie took the words right out of my mouth. Satin Sheets perfect for a wedding. Quote
tlc26 Posted January 22, 2006 Author Posted January 22, 2006 what about WT&G and Green Tea for the other scent and just do it in blue and call it something else? I am going to drive myself nuts with this. Quote
CandleFreak Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 hmmm...blue scents.....downey clean breezespring rainchina rainlavendar vanilla....kinda stretching the blue but still workabledunno...good luck!or you could do just talk her into one scent and making it in blue and whitedoes it really matter that the color and fragrance don't match???? who really cares if it smells good and she likes it, right? OutlandishLady Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 If you haven't smelled Blue Skies from SoapNCandles you MUST check it out before you make a final decision. I love it, my hubby loves it, everyone that smells it loves it! White Tea & Ginger is one of my faves too & I think it would make a nice pairing. If you want to smell it without buying the FO, I could mail you a M&P sample that I have made. Just PM me with your snail mail addy & I'll send it to ya!Good luck! Quote
Scented Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 LOL! Tab!! Sorry but you're killing me here Find some unisex fragrances maybe. You can color anything the way you want, just ummm like don't make a chocolate scent blue ... gives off bad images I'm half tempted to pull out the WT&G I have and start matching it to other scents I've got, but at the moment I'm overdosing on lavender and rather enjoying it ... seriously Have you got any zen tea? That would be a great mixer with that WT&G and it could go any color. It's not really a chick scent and it's not a dude scent either. Quote
tlc26 Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 Ok I will just have to let it go for now! I'm killing your FO buzz Scented! SorryI am going to check into some zen teaThanks for the help Quote
