So frustrating!! I did confirm she's burning in a plug in warmer, which is what I have the one in right now. I have no clue how she went through 2 melts already because m melts last FOREVER in the plugins. I actually had a tester ask me when she can dump it out because the scent just wasn't going away!!! Most of the time I dump the wax from those because I'm bored of the scent, not because it's melted away! I don't understand. It's a bit deflating, especially before this huge show.

I don't have a scentsy brand one myself, but my sister does and my melts do fine. How much 4627 do you use? Perhaps you need a new bulb??

Just heard back from her, the scents she is having issues with are super strong to me. I burnt the one on Monday, in fact in a plug in and it over powered from the bathroom and I had to turn it off. The other one, baby clean, I had a tester tell me it was so strong she could only burn it a couple hours and then she had to turn it off and open the windows, LOL!! Soooo, what the heck do I do here?

I just got my first complaint. Of course, it's from someone that I went above and beyond for. Typical. I have been a testing maniac and I know which ones don't burn we'll, as they aren't on the shelves!! I'm asking her which one she burnt so I can burn it too and see what I get on the off chance I missed one. Why does it always have to be the ones you go the extra mile for? Should teach me not to do it anymore!!? :rolleyes2

How do you guys do this? This is my biggest show ever and one that's not just 'fun'. It's business this time! I plan on doing a full pre-show inventory this week (the show is Sat.) and logging sales. I don't know if I'm necessarily going to do receipts (though I do have a receipt book...) but I want to keep track anyhow. I have melts (clams and portion cups), bears and some jarred scoopable melts. Do you write : 6 clams @ $20 Or do you write the scents as well? Do you use a notebook or an app? I don't plan on taking any visa or anything as the internet connection charge rivals the extremely high booth fee! Any tips? I want to do it right, but don't want to make it harder on myself. FWIW: I'll have my sister there as a helper. I'm scared! :embarasse

I would grab a pic, but that's probably not ethically right! I just saw a lady list locally her candles. #1 - They seem pretty expensive for what they are. #2 - You need to see a pic. The labels are all (poorly) hand written with NO information other than a scent name. I mean, you can't take the time to research and do a proper fricken LABEL (which is the FACE of your 'company') than you just know she didn't do the proper testing. I'm sitting here obsessing over how good my melts are and safety and throw and burning time and all that and then you have people that see something on Pinterest and start to sell. It's awful. Wickless us one thing, but a wicked candle can be deadly if it's done wrong!! Well, my products are going to look AMAZING listed a few posts above hers anyway.

Ok, I'll see what I can do for some more elevation! I don't know if I'll be able to stick a bin/step,right under the table cloth though,was its super snug. I might be able to get a baking pan or something shorter though, do you think that would be enough for the effect? An extra 1.5 ish inches for the back row? I'll probably have 2 of those shelves (one on each end) of the 8 ft table.

4625 is a rock of a wax!! I mix mine with another wax and get great results. There are so, so many options and percentages its so hard to say what will work for you!!! I mix mine with 4627.

LOL!! My first thought is HA! Not here for certain! This is site is poison for people trying to beat their FO addiction!!! My counter currently has 28 new FOs on it, most being 16 oz. I'm certain on my divorce papers they'll name aroma haven and natures garden as the faulted party!!!

Here's an idea of what I might do. My colour scheme is red, turquoise and lime. I am going to have an 'L' table setup (the other table is the venue's). That table will have dipped bears on it. Also, I'll be using a slightly larger table (theirs is 8 ft mine is 6) for the melts, smaller for the bears. I do have more little bins (lots) another shelf like the one pictures and some larger red bins to work with if anything needs to be changed. I like having the melts in the bins for organization but I feel having some on the table encourages touching, Kwim? Thoughts?

I typed it in libre pad or something (writing app for the Mac). I'll try it in the text program next time (I hate using it!!). I only have a page. I really dislike navigating through the pages (app). But heck, it's so handy!!!

I made a lovely scent list on my computer and when I pasted to Facebook, all the formatting was gone! I had to spend half as long re-adding spaces as I did writing the darn thing. Does anyone else have this issue? Had I known, I would have just written IN facebook and copied/edited details (colours, font) on my computer after. LAME!

I have email, phone, and Facebook. I don't have a direct shop or etsy yet.

The table looks BEAUTIFUL! My first thought is 'OMG, what if someone bumps into it!!?!' I would cry. I love the clear bins. I think I'm going to play around with my table a bit this week.

I agree, your display is amazing. I would love to find a way to do something cool like that, but with wax melts. Jealous!

I just got a sample tea light from Aroma Haven last night and thought of this thread! It's Victorian Pine and it smells wonderful! I want it and am so sad that I didn't get some with my order.

Wow! I love that it'll discolour their warmer. HA! Ditto Dolphin146, they are just trying to scare people. I have so many people amazed that my melts are so much cheaper AND better.

I just let 'em sniff! I don't worry too much. Usually they are getting snatched up pretty quickly so not too many noses are in them! LOL! This is my first time selling portion cups and I have been wondering how to display them too. I bought larger cute bins and was thinking of having categories (bakery, floral, seasonal, etc...) but I'm so stumped! I feel like they must be containerized. The clams aren't so bad because they are bigger but the portion cups are pretty small and could easily be snatched up into a bag. (Sad days when this has to be your thinking!)

I throw mine around! LOL! Or I give it to hubby and he gets at it with a hammer and chisel. You must be marvellously patient to grate so much! Wowzers! Sometimes even grating enough cheese for tacos gets to me. LOL!
