  6. Oh I love that story! My "other" job is with a dog groomer so I love wax and dogs too. I am going to suggest the different scents in each room to some clients who have older dogs who are going blind.
  7. I have a very old bottle of mex vanilla from jbn that I just sniffed..I don't get buttery at all and maybe a hint of clove. Not sure if it is (clove) spice and it is very faint..mostly i smell a strong non buttery vanilla. But the bottle is OLD..so HTH

  13. Hmm hasn't happened to me yet..but I've only poured about 49 what kind of clamshell? just wondering if this is another reason to avoid e-clamshell?
  14. sounds like you've got it well thought out jjcandles..nice to have a plan. If i ever get to make my own workroom I am going to come back to this thread and use all these great ideas
  15. Just got a sample today from e-clam it says it is a 1524, they actually sent 2 of the same ones: they do NOT have the circle indent in each cube, feels thicker than the circle indent ones..but they were hard to separate and hard to close. I'm thinking they are a step above the impacts 1524C but still not as good as impacts regular 1524. I THINK the circle indent ones are probly the 1524C. Haven't poured in em yet so don't know about the plastic smell. HTH
  16. I just sent away for a sample from e-clamshell..will let u know.
  17. Does anyone know if the e-clamshells have a little circle indent on the bottom of each cube? I have some like this and they are crap..very thin, and hard to close. If this is e-clamshell I know I don't want any more.
  18. ive got an old dresser that i use for candle stuff, the large bottom drawer is just tall enough to stand 16 oz fo's up in. i wrote names on caps and alphabetized them.
  19. thank you all for the input...I was leaning towards the "no way, no how"...you helped me make up my mind
  20. A fellow vendor asked me if I wanted to start sharing a booth with her and split the fee. She makes knitted items and makes a few parrafin pillar candles. ( I make soy container candles) anyway..I'm not sure I want to have both candles at the same booth (her main selling item is knitted but she wants to include the candles) I told her this would be competing against each other..she doesn't think so since they are different types of candles..."and besides I am not competetive" she said, " but that's okay if you are". I think I'm kinda insulted by that statement, but back to the question at hand..should I share with her? My business name says SOY candles and is pretty well known around town so might confuse people to see parrafin pillars. On the plus side tho, would be nice to have someone to talk to at the shows, less cost for booth and help setting up canopy. What would you do?
  21. I thought they HAD to charge what the company told them? Don't know much about them except there are lots of reps here in my area..always a new person at the shows.
