  1. Congratulations!!! Glad you had a great show. I make parasoy melts as a addon to my soaps and lotions. I have never had anyone ask for soy. All they seem to be interested in is the fragrance. No one has ever asked what kind of wax I use either. I had a bunch of 6006 container wax so that is the parasoy part mixed with straight paraffin. Just my experience. Don't change what works.
  2. I don't have time to set it up on my website. Have too many local craft shows to attend so the online sales just are what they are for me.
  3. I used to sell boot jacks for a leather crafter and he had the legal right to use Texas A&M, Texas Tech and U of Texas. So yes, some small crafters do take the time to be legal and no these are not national NFL type teams but big in Texas. BUT I see these three teams logos used at every craft show I attend and I know they have not pursued the rights to paint Texas A&M on bricks or Texas Tech on a yard sign.
  4. When I first started trying out the portion cups I used the kind from Sams. After sitting for awhile some of the fragrances ate through the cups. Not all but enough that I would not advise using the portion cups sold at Sams for wax melts.
  5. I make both and was surprised when the portion cups started outselling the clamshells. But I have both so which they want is fine with me.
  6. I buy a lot of things from her and have never had a problem. Everything is packaged well, clean and no pet hairs. I did get the wrong color of malibu lids once and she immediately sent the correct ones and told me to just keep the other ones. I must order on the right phase of the moon or something.
  7. I could not share since I would not have room for someone else's product. My display is already overflowing plus I am very independent and might have problems with how someone else might want to set up.
  8. Thanks. NG wasn't listed on Fragrance Oil Finder either. So many choices and such a variety of prices too.
  9. Fragrance Oil finder didn't list Cajun's as carrying a dupe. I have a few FO's from them and all are good. Thanks.
  10. I thought about the angle of trying to get her money back. She had a Navy warmer so I asked her if she had an Army warmer (since they were on sale why not) and she said she had all of the armed forces but she just didn't have them with her. I do a show next weekend where the rep is someone that I have been doing shows with for several years so I might casually ask her. I sell clamshells for $3.50 since that is what most of the crafters sell them for in my area so she still didn't get as low as my price but closer than the regular $5.00. The reps in this area seem to stay for a long time. I was kind of out of my regular territory last weekend.
  11. ksranch - If your customer thinks it is a dead on duplication, I will need to try the BCN since my customer is looking for the B&BW one. Thanks for the info. se2653 - Thanks for the sweetcakes info. I am guessing B&BW is using a FO and I just searched for FO's.
  12. Since I am ordering something from Elements I will pick up a pound to try even if it turns out to be different that the BCN one. I love those scents myself and I am looking for a new frgrance to use in my salt bars. The one I have been using has continued to go up in price to the point I can't justify it. Thanks for the information.
  13. I have a customer that would like this scent in the goat milk lotion she buys from me. According to fragrance finder there are five places to get a duplication. I already buy from Elements and Southern Garden Scents and they both are listed as having a dupliction of this scent. Does anyone know if either is a good duplication or one being better than the other? Other sources are WSP and Bitter Creek North and I fogot the fifth one. Old age I guess. Thanks for any help.
  14. I just returned from a small two day show at an American Legion Hall. Nice little show. As usual there was a Scentsy rep there. Usually the Scentsy reps in my area have nice displays. The venue provided tables (yea!!) and she didn't even put a tablescloth on them. Just set warmers out with the regular price and the mark down price. Then the clamshells were in a big tapestry suitcase that she laid on the table, unzipped the top and flopped it over and the customers had to dig through them. Then tore a piece of brown cardboard from a cardboard box and used a magic marker to make a "Sale" sign. $5.00 each or 3 for $14 or 6 for $25 Now she sold some warmers but they were marked down $10 each. I started to ask if she was going out of business but kept my mouth shut. She had a LOT of warmers but not many clamshells. Well a suitcase full might have been a lot but I am used to seeing them hanging by scent. I sell melts in portion cups and clamsheels also but my main line is goat milk soap and lotion. Scentsy doesn't bother me but I was surprised to see the pretty ratty looking display and the sale. I have never seen any of the reps having a sale before. Are am I just not observant?
