No, I can't see a lack of creativity in THAT candle - maybe you are just way too hard on yourself. I love that candle, the colour looks great. Keep creating and posting.

They both look beautiful. I've got my first bottle of liquid dye and I'm dying to get time to do a marble. Soon. It's just not that easy with shavings so you have done very well!

That is fabulous - it looks like a canvas just waiting for the artist to create a masterpiece. It is so very spic and span too. Like Jooniper, I like to say that my mess is creativity in the making, but if I'm honest, I could be a bit tidier as I do love a neat workspace. Have fun in YOUR new space.

They all look fantastic - excellent photos, beautiful candle and great melts. I've just got to get me one of those heart molds and some heart melt molds. I haven't seen any here in Aussie land yet but I shall keep looking.

The wax I get here is always just straight paraffin wax with no additives and then I start playing. To get mottles I don't seem to have to do much, just the 1 tablespoon of stearine per lb of wax and I added half an ounce of fragrant oil per lb as well - that worked for me. Hot pour and slow cooling is a good idea too - although with these I let the temperature drop before I poured so I could get a bit of a rustic effect - the mottle still showed through. The best thing to do is just experiment.
