  1. Now that is a colour combination that I would love as well. I think you've been fairly close with some of your rustics.
  2. Hi everyone, I took these pics today of my latest candles to come out of the pot. The first pic is of some pink, mauve and white rustics FO Lavender Cucumber Sage in 3 inch aluminium round molds, 2 1/2 inch alum. square and a 3 inch square milk container, all of which turned out ok. I didn't have any problems getting them out of the mold etc. The second pic is of cream pillars in polycarbonate molds FO Victorian Rose, once again no problems there. The third pic is of pale mauve, deep plum and white rustics FO Lavender Cucumber Sage again, in 2 inch aluminium molds and a 3 inch alum. mold - all of these came out of the mold ok but two of the 2 inchers didn't look too good in the beginning. The deep plum colour had run all over the place and instead of looking interesting it just looked extremely messy. I ended up neatening it up a little with some nylon netting and heat gunning it slightly. I'm reasonably happy with them now. What do you think? The last pic is just for fun and is my cat Snowdrop who kept trying to get into the picture - she's very large - the tallest pillar behind her is 8 inches high to give you some idea of her size. I hope you enjoy looking.
  3. That looks very lacy and I like it.
  4. Your candles are fabulous - I love the bright colours and the spheres are great. How inspiring! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Very nice, well done. Lovely colours.
  6. Yes, they are time consuming and I've learnt that I mustn't answer the phone or the door while doing them, leave them for DH, otherwise the results can be disastrous. I like your rustic and the browns are great. Think I'll go and have a coffee!
  7. Definitely not sad nor broken now that the other half doesn't exist. I like your rustic - and the colours are great. Very sunny. Keep at it.
  8. That's good Sabrina and I like the sound of a home made light box, something I need. Or I could take the candles outside and shoot them there, they might melt in this heat though - 38.5C so far today. Nice colour too.
  9. I'm about to make some using Citronella Essential Oil - will that work better?
  10. Thanks for looking and the comments. I hope to get some more pics on soon as I'm preparing for a market day and a candle jewellery evening coming up soon. Keep smiling, Jojo
  11. Oh yes, you've definitely got it! Those are great rustics, I love them and the colours are fabulous.
  12. They look great - a day well spent.
  13. I've had those molds for quite a few years and can't remember where I got them from but I know you can usually buy them from any supplier who stocks polycarbonate molds.
  14. Wow, I love that bright orange - those are great.
  15. Hi everybody, I haven't posted for a while so today I got my camera out and here is a sample of what I've been up to lately. The chunky love filled candles are filled with hearts, stars and moons - FO Pink Bombshell. The painted candles are wax chips melted onto a candle with my gas torch - I love doing those - the blue one's FO is Christmas Wreath and the pyramid's FO is Lookout Point. The dark burgundy pillars have a slight pink mottle and are the result of getting all my scraps together - I had no idea how they would turn out - FO Asian Sandalwood. The pink rustics were a bit of an experiment - FO Cherry Blossom. The blue layers FO is Clean Cotton. Cheers, Jo
  16. That looks great Sabrina. Lucky neighbour! I bet it smells delicious too.
  17. They look flawlessly smooth already. Not rustic looking like mine did. You are one clever man Top. Merry Christmas.
  18. What a fabulous looking cane - I love it.
