  1. Hi Dee, your first attempt is fabulous. Everyone's given you all the best suggestions, patience, patience and then more patience is what a candlemaker needs. I like your candle and the colour is beautiful. I'd leave the fridge out too. Every rustic candle is unique, that what makes them so great.
  2. The first of many no doubt - it looks very smooth - beautiful. Keep posting.
  3. That's exciting Donita, I hope I get to see it in the flesh some time. It's a most beautiful cane, as always.
  4. They look amazing - great colours and wonderful candles.
  5. I just used straight paraffin and added one tablespoon of stearine per lb of wax plus fragrance oil and voila! - mottle! (Plus UV inhibitor too.)
  6. Oh my! They are fantastic. I've just got myself some liquid dye so I'm dying to have a go at marbles again. The colours in those are beautiful, I love them all.
  7. I wouldn't change a thing - they look great - well done.
  8. Yep, it sure looks rustic to me. Well done. Lovely candles.
  9. That looks beautiful - very rustic and great colours. No need to be envious any more!
  10. Hey, what's wrong with that! I think it looks fine and the colour is great. Every marble I do turns out differrently, that just makes it interesting.
  11. The light box seems to be working fine - and the candles look beautiful. I could really use one of those shell/sand candles in my bathroom, they look fantastic.
  12. That looks so beautifully cool Donita - I'm envious of your cool weather - 42.7 Celsius here at the moment. Just looking makes me feel better. Lovely color too.
  13. Hey Sabrina, they will be well loved - the colours look great together and the rustic is perfect. Beautiful orange!
  14. Oh Donita, that colour is fantastic - I just love the rich colours you choose - life is all about contrast and you have it down pat!!!!! Have a fabulous time with the relies.
  15. Sabrina, you have been very busy. Your palm candles are looking fantastic, well done. Beautiful colours.
  16. I sold them all yesterday - they got snapped up very quickly. I'm glad you liked them though.
  17. They are beautiful Donita (as usual). My favourite is the last one. Which one did you eventually take and how did it go? I hope you had fun!
  18. That would look great in my cornflour blue bathroom - I love it.
  19. That is one beautiful candle - where exactly is the hole? It's not visible in the photo - I think it's great.
  20. Thanks Mozzie, I certainly have a new lease on life now - I feel like my time from now on is bonus time and I'm making the most of it. I'll miss you Sunday. And you'll miss out on the barbie afterwards. Maybe we can catch up soon.
  21. Hi Scented, The balls were made in an aluminium mold I got from Peaks - it's really good and even though the mold is in two pieces, the join is imperceptible on the finished candle. :smiley2:
  22. I'm having a sale this coming Sunday - my daughter and I have regular candle/jewellery/etc. parties. She does all sorts of funky craft items i.e. painted glasses, personalised gnomes and paintings as well. We make it a fun event and this time we're having a sausage sizzle afterwards.
  23. Hi Pokle, I got those moulds from Peaks Candle Supplies.
  24. That looks very inviting - I would definitely have stopped and had a closer look. Very nice.
