  1. I melt two pounds of wax at a time in the Presto. I now use 1/4 tsp UV per pound of wax. I don't weigh the UV... I just level off a 1/2 tsp measuring spoon and dump it in.
  2. Me too. Wax and UV go into the Presto at the same time and get melted together. Jo
  3. I only do melts... and I put it in every batch. For the same reason. To keep the color from fading. Jo
  4. I just started "collecting" FOs from Candlewic so I won't be any help since I haven't put any in wax yet. LOL But the only ones I have so far is Voodoo Love, Wild Cherry and Fresh Vanilla.
  5. ::::::: cries ::::::: I did NOT need to see another sale this soon !!!!!!!
  6. Thank you very much for replying Sharon. I've made the decision to not purchase these to sell because I'm sure most customers would be using the same "cheap" t-lites in them and they'd just be getting way too hot.
  7. I don't do soap but ... what is the "normal life" of oils ?
  8. Same here. I have limited myself on FO suppliers. So far I've managed to hold steady with five. Candle Science, Peak, Millcreek, Texas Candle Supply and recently added a handful from Candlwic. Main two are CS and Peak. The problem is.... even with limiting suppliers, they all still have soooooooo many awesome scents I want . LOL Jo
  9. I've read tons of old posts regarding this but mostly from 2005, 2006 and 2007 so I thought I'd bring this subject up again and see what thoughts and experiences have changed in the last 4 or 5 years... if any. I bought a cute little tea light warmer from A Candle Co (Bell A Roma) to test and see if they were worth getting some to sell. They really are cute but they get WAY too HOT. I tested the melted wax and it was 245 - 250 degrees. And it was smoking !!!!! Scared me a little so I blew out the tea light. Does anyone know at what temperature we should shoot for (maximum temp) regarding melted tarts without getting too hot ? Jo
  10. I have a question ...... and it's probably a stupid one but anyway ...... 1 oz bottle $2.00 8 oz bottle $9.95 16 oz bottle $14.95 By The Pound $12.95 This is how the FO pricing is listed at AAA Candle Supply. NEVER MIND !!!!!! I'd delete this if I knew how !!!!!!! LOL I just went back to the site and discovered the answer. :::::::::: and now back to your regularly scheduled programming ::::::::::::
  11. so I guess this means everyone can start selling these jars now ... advertised as ...... pillar holders ? LOL
  12. you're welcome ! and yes. it's all one thing. warning is printed on the back of the label itself. you read the warning through the plastic lid of the clamshell when you open it up. and its in three languages. English, French, Spanish
  13. The scentsy tarts I have ... have the warning on the inside ... backside of the label. Jo
  14. awesome. Thank you both. I will definitely be giving this a try. Jo
  15. . . are these really that easy to use ? even for those of us who are pretty much computer illiterate ? LOL Seriously though ... I've never operated a credit card machine / app so am very curious about just how easy this is to use. I will be selling my tarts for the first time in the near future and an extremely simple to use system would be right up my alley. Jo
  16. :::: sigh ::::: I have been wanting that Raspberry Sangria ever since it came out at CS and now I want the three newest ones too. Guess I'm gonna have to break down and order some samples. Anyone have the number for Fragrance Addicts Anonymous ?

  22. . . Plain jane or not, your story brought tears to my eyes. I love it when people use the simplest of forms to remember and honor a dear friend or family member. Thank you for sharing your story. I know she greatly appreciates your thoughtfulness as she looks down from above.
