  1. all of my warmers get one at a time.
  2. I prefer doing the clamshells. For me... they are much easier and faster. Less labor and no extra packaging necessary.
  3. well shoot. i saw several places that had that lid (in different colors) with the star cut out but didn't see any with the star added onto the lid. I'll go look some more and see if I can find something. if all else fails maybe you can buy some little metal stars and glue them on a rustic lid ? Jo
  4. will these work ? http://www.rustytin.com/DecorMisc.htm scroll about 2/3 down the page Jo

    Waxcessories ?

That really sucks. Those warmers are awesome looking !
  6. I use the 3 oz dixie cups and I've had that happen with them a couple of times. I measure now right when I'm ready to pour it into the wax so it's not in the cup long enough to eat through.

    Waxcessories ?

wow... 36 views so far and no one knows what's up with Waxcessories ? Was hoping someone at least knew something about them.
  8. temperature readings sounds like a good idea. then maybe get you a little heater maybe ? although if I did have a basement.... I would no longer be able to use the "I don't have enough room" excuse when sales come up. LOL
  9. ok I have to ask this ....... You've lived in this house for FIVE years and don't know what's in your basement ??? LOL And to answer your own question... it sounds like a dream come true and I would move down there as soon as possible. I would LOVE to have an extra room in my house just for my tart making !!!! Jo
  10. Unfortunately... THAT is a concern in any business.... dealing with suppliers that might possibly go out of business. If / when that happens you just have to dig in and find a new supplier and keep going. Jo
  11. Welcome to the addiction !!! check this link for suppliers http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?5492-Supplier-Abbreviations-and-Links Jo

    Waxcessories ?

Is this company still in business selling tart warmers ? And if so does anyone have a new link for them ? I've googled tons and find lots of places selling Waxcessories warmers. I finally stumbled onto a site called Insights & Waxcessories that appears to be them (has two different web sites) but new customers can't get access to pricing. It says it's disabled. The catalog option is from Spring Summer 2009 ? http://www.waxcessories.com/ http://www.qslcorp.com/ Jo
  13. That's what I use ... Ecosoya PB for tarts ... and I have quite a few CandleScience FOs... so far the leaves have been spot on ! Have about as many Peak FOs and they are awesome too !
  14. Congratulations on the new baby due in December ! Great month !!! LOL That's my birthday month.
  15. I wish you the best of luck with the wax you chose. Apparently that one is very hard to find FOs that work well with it. It makes a beautiful candle but again.... doesn't like many FOs.
  16. Candle Science FOs are great in soy ! I use a different soy than you though so I can't speak for the throw in 415 or 444.
  17. I'm with deb. Too much waste and expense. I don't use that wax but no way would I use 2 oz/pp. If I can't get good throw using 1 oz/pp, it don't get used.
  18. No idea. I googled Pleazure Air Freshener and got nothing with that spelling. Who manufactures that freshener ? Where did you buy it ? Do you still have the package ? Does the package give you any information about the product ?
  19. ROFL yes I do Stella. They really should give us a delete button for our own posts. :-)
  20. . I don't believe there's such thing as the --- one in a thousand who gets it right the first time --- when it comes to candles. LOL there are just way too many variables involved for it to all work right the first time. some people (including me) have been reading these boards for MONTHS and some even years and we all still keep learning. the only other thing I can recommend ... adding to what Stella said ... is to say keep the FO orders to a minimum and order ONLY the SAMPLE sizes until you know that scent will work for you. Sample sizes are more expensive by the ounce but will save you tons in the long run by keeping you from buying several ounces of one scent that won't work for you.
  21. you definitely have to get some of Peak's FO. and it's got nothing to do with "cheating" on anyone. You use the scents you like (or that work best for you) from the suppliers you like.... period ! My main two suppliers for FO are Peak and Candle Science. I also have a few from three other suppliers. And I get my wax from yet another supplier. Jo
