  1. you could use the votive clamshells too. another option
  2. that site is actually in Canada so shipping would probably be better for you than something shipped from the US but I don't know anything about that company so can't advise you on whether it would be a good kit or not
  3. To save yourself shipping.... you can purchase it through WalMart's website and have it delivered site to store and shipping is free. Then you just pick it up at the store when it gets there.
  4. WalMart has them on their website. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Presto-Kitchen-Kettle-Multi-Cooker-Steamer/14321003
  5. Don't have access to the website so I don't know what the description is but I got my lighted magnifying glass (LOL) and looked again and I was wrong. The JKL I have is 14 watts ... not 20. I was looking at the wrong number this morning. However the temp of the melted wax in it is still 150. Jo
  6. I hate Wally World too.... because they get way too much of my money on a weekly basis !!!! I have Wally World on one end of town... Dollar Tree next to Target on the other end of town ... and a Dollar General and a Home Depot right in the middle !!! My money does get spread around pretty good in this town ! LOL Jo
  7. you're welcome ! but it does bring up a question ... If 20 watts isn't strong enough on a plate ... how can 15 watts be strong enough in a plug in ?
  8. I have four different ones. OBI ---- 24 watt plate warmer ---- 190 degrees ---- bowl gets too hot to pick up without a pad Levine ---- 20 watt plate warmer ---- 150 degrees ---- bowl can be picked up without burning you JKL ---- 20 watt plate warmer ---- 150 degrees ---- bowl can be picked up without burning you I also have one from candlewarmer.com with a 45 watt bulb but I can't test the temp on it right now because the bulb is out and I don't have a replacement ... but the bowl on that one got real hot like the OBI one so I'm guessing it's probably 190-200 degrees. The 24 watt OBI throws a LOT better than the 20 watt ones I have. Any more I buy in the future will be at least a 24 watt. Jo
  9. oh I agree. they do have some very nice ones !!!
  10. I use the presto pot for melting my wax. When it reaches temp I pour it into a pour pitcher then add dye and FO to it.
  11. Isn't this the one that has the weird pricey light bulbs that you can't get anywhere but from them ?
  12. I love the "bungee board" idea. Go to Hope Depot and buy a cheap pegboard. Cut it into a few different sizes. Drill some of the holes bigger to fit the bungees with bigger hooks. Now you have several "bungee boards" and they didn't cost you 20 bucks each plus tax and shipping. Jo

    Clamshells

hmmm ... well I don't know then. Both Eclamshells and Impact say on their websites that they manufacture their clamshells. stockclamshells doesn't actually say they manufacture theirs so they could be getting theirs from one of the other two. Jo
  14. I use Ecosoya PB too and get great hot and cold throw. I heat to about 185. Pour the wax into my pour pot and stir a little to dissolve my dye chip. Then add the fragrance oil. Stir the oil in for 10-15 seconds, let it cool to about 145 then pour into clamshells. Sometimes I'll stir again about halfway through the cool down. Jo
  15. I started out stirring for two minutes.... would set the timer on my microwave. Then I got tired of stirring for so long so I stopped. Now I put the fragrance oil in and stir for probably 10 or 15 seconds. I will usually (but not always) stir again about half way through the cooling process before I pour. I haven't noticed any difference in the great throw from when I stirred for two full minutes and now stirring for 10-15 seconds. Jo
  16. That's what these crooks do. Send thousands of emails and some unsuspecting individuals somewhere will eventually respond and fall for the scam and get ripped off.
  17. .... SCAM !!!!!!!! Very bad "business" email. Wouldn't touch that order with a ten foot pole !
  18. wow ! that looks awesome !!! . . . must resist the temptation to try these swirly soaps ..... must resist the temptation....... must resist .....
  19. and for me it's just the opposite. they are the quickest on delivery compared to my other suppliers. with Bittercreek my order usually arrives within two business days. for me so far Millcreek has been the worst for delivery. they take about two weeks.

    Clamshells

Impact Mfg, Eclamshell (ClearPack Engineering), and stockclamshells (Panic Plastics, Inc.) are three different manufacturers even though they are all located in California. Impact has plants in California, Mexico, China and Taiwan and they manufacture clamshells, blisters, trays and other stuff. stockclamshells also manufacture clamshells, blisters, trays and other stuff. Eclamshell only makes clamshells
  21. you should definitely be getting more than 2 hours out of one square. are you sure you aren't suffering from Candle Nose after a couple of hours ? Try going outside for awhile (or smell some coffee grounds) and then see if you can still smell your tart. mine all last different times. some I get a couple of days out of ... a couple I get 3 or 4 days out of. but ALL give at least one full day = 8-10 hours.
  22. The only thing I get from them is my wax. Houston to here is cheaper than anyone else. I actually have two suppliers within short driving distance from me ... but neither of them has the 50 lb wax I use. One doesn't have the wax at all and the other only has it in 10 lb bags. And buying 5 - 10lb bags would cost more to have delivered or to go pick up than the 50 lb is to ship from Houston.
  23. holy smoke ! that's pretty much double of most other suppliers. I thought WSP was supposed to be a good supplier but with prices like that they won't be getting my business !!!!
  24. sure wish I could afford to buy a boatload of wax right now.... before prices get much higher
