  1. I use Ecosoya PB for my melts too. I heat to 185 and add dye chips and FO. Then cool and pour into clamshells at 145. Haven't had any problems with frosting at all ..... yet. :-)
  2. Sorry Robert but I have to disagree with you. It really depends on how you are using the presto pot. For me.... I melt two pounds at a time ... when melted I pick it up and pour the wax into my pour pot. While that batch is cooling to pour temp I start another batch melting. I do not mix wax, FO and dye in the presto... wax only. I should have just bought the regular ones without the spigot. The spigot was a waste of money for me as I've never used it or needed to use it. Jo
  3. I'm worn out just reading EricofAZ' post. LOL I keep it simple. I only do clamshell tarts so ..... one wax ! LOL
  4. I have one. It's a 14 watt plate warmer and works ok . I use EcoSoya PB for my tarts and they melt fine in the 14 watt melter. The HT works better in a smaller room. Jo
  5. I use Eco PB for my tarts too. And love it.
  6. ah .... ok .... I plan on getting Square too and I'm going to be using the iPhone because the phone would be used anyway. The iPad would be an extra expense for me that would only be used occasionally.
  7. Here is a thread from back in January discussing the Square option. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?93030-Anyone-using-Square-payment-processing
  8. I'm not sure and you should probably consult a lawyer about that ... but I'm thinking the only way you can truly protect a product you design and create is if you can patent it. Copyrights and trademarks will protect you to a small degree but unless you are willing to keep an attorney on retainer and go after every person who violates the copyright or trademark then there's really no sense in getting them .... other than to keep some people from messing with your product. Yankee's "tart" is a perfect example. They have the word trademarked .... but that hasn't stopped people from using it. Good luck !
  9. Ring of Fire said HER in regards to you. I was going by what they called you. I can't answer for the rest of the board in regards to whether you are male or female. And as for why anyone is assuming you aren't testing anything .... it's because of the many questions you have been asking that suggests you are NOT testing but looking for quick answers so you don't have to do the testing yourself. If I was wrong about that then I apologize.

I personally don't believe they ARE wrong to tell people to test so we'll move on ..... Now .... having said that .... I was not wrong.... telling her to test WAS necessary and that is exactly what she needs to do. TEST for herself so she can SEE for herself the difference between the burners !
  11. I think most of us use the 1524's
  12. Is there something specific on this page we are supposed to look at ?
  13. you really need to buy some and test them for yourself to see how each one works.
  14. I pour at 145 and haven't had any problems with eclamshell's products
  15. LOL ! It's a little bigger than a 50# case of soy wax. Not much bigger. You think 875 will last a long time... but once you get started mixing and pouring... they'll all be full before you know it. LOL
  16. I use Ecosoya PB too. I weigh my wax before melting. I add 17 oz of dry wax to my presto pot then melt to 185. I then pour it into my pour pot where I add dye and then 1 oz of FO. The FO goes in at approx 175-180 degrees. Stir then cool to 145 and pour into clamshells.
  17. well I'm no expert either but why not just do the q-tip test and see what happens ?
  18. me too. then wipe the bowl out with a paper towel and plop a new tart in.
  19. most of mine I pour out while it's still liquid.
