  1. I made a batch of m&p today and used SoapQueen's (I think Anne-Marie from Brambleberry)tutorial on youtube for wrapping soap in plastic wrap shrinking it with a heat gun. Turned out great, and you can smell the soap through plastic wrap. But in answer to your question, yes I would buy soap wrapped in shrink based on the scent and the soap presentation. (And I am thinking I still could smell scent through shrinkwrap...not strong, but enough to give me an idea..)

  3. BTA, I order some CS samples, you are right, they are strong in my wax blend...going to try some of my other "dud" f.o.'s in tarts, maybe they will come to life after all!
  4. Pleasure, Those melts are very nice! Do you use silicone molds or hi temp plastic?
  5. It appeared to me too that BTA was being baited, wow if we should only comment about what we have only experienced firsthand, but nothing about what we have heard or read, forums would be awfully dull....just sayin'...
  6. Oh my goodness, you soapers are AMAZING! Just beautiful...
  7. Jackie, that is a good question about retailers not having to label ingredients if they use their own private label. I don't consider myself a germ-a-phobic, but really, I didn't want to touch the soaps, heck I would be adding my own germs! Blacktie, I also think the cigar band is eyecatching, the display was very nice. Nice to know I am not being too persnickety, ha!
  8. I visited a new "boutique" store and one of the displays was soaps. The shop owner buys wholesale and puts her own private label on. They appeared to be CP and were absolutely gorgeous and smelled divine. The thing that struck me was that the soaps were not wrapped except by a cigar band with the store name on it and the scent. No ingredient list, but it seems I read somewhere that CP is not considered cosmetic, therefore does not require listed ingredients. The product can be touched and handled and who knows what can get transferred to the soap from someones hands. I have seen displays such as this in other shops too. Is it common not to wrap soaps with some sort of protective barrier, or am I being paranoid?
