  1. Yes, I have ordered a few from him, they are not complex fragrance oils, but from my experience worked out well. My customers like Sage and Ivy, I have used his Mac Apple for a mixer, did not have success with cotton candy, (have tried several and am still looking). One customer likes his gardenia, but I am not fond of florals, so my opinion wouldn't be objective about that one. I don't know who the manufacture is. One thing that I wish he would do is list if they are body safe, so to be on the safe side I don't use in bb products. Shipping was fast, and CS good. hth
  2. "I really want to try the Sweet Potato everyone is raving about from Aztec! " It really, really does smell like ooey gooey sweet potato casserole, I need to get into wax!
  3. Another ditto here, one of my best sellers.
  4. For most of my f/o's I do use 6%, on some of the heavier oils (bakery mainly), I do cut back, they burn cleaner for me.
  5. I use the 44-24-18 mainly, and for lighter f/os the 36-24-24, hth!
  6. The 44z is my go to wick with this wax too, depending on f/o, I may have to go one size smaller.
  7. Labels, cleaning up after pouring and putting away everything.
  8. Janet Would something like this work? http://www.gandgwebstore.com/4.5-x-13-cylinder-box-clear-pkg-12.html or this... http://www.clearbags.com/box/clear/dim/5-x-5-x-10-soft-fld-clr-box-pop-and-lock-btm.html
  9. Thanks for doing this Dave, it's a good reminder about all the options out there!
  10. That is really clever and cute, sure to be enjoyed!
  11. I have to admit, CW lead me astray too towards Candle Cocoon! And she does have some lovely oils.
  12. Well, save a seat for the rest of us, lol!
  13. Yes, I have ordered wicks, soap molds and a few other things from them. Their customer service is top notch, emails were answered promptly, shipping is quick and reasonable, and Ann is very nice. I need to revist them and try their f/os, the pricing is good.
  14. Yes, CDs are a nice wick. I have tried zincs in a variety of paraffin blends, with different fragrance loads, but they always seem to mushroom so quickly, but have been told that is the nature of that wick, I kept thinking I had too much fo! Let us know if the 10 works, I happen to have those two waxes , but never thought about blending the two until you mentioned it!!
  15. I have read that many use an htp wick in 4627, which is supposed to handle the higher fragrance loads. Wonder if it would work in a 50 50 blend with the 10% load? Did the melt pool ever catch up to the side of the jars with the cd's? Would a 10 be too big?
  16. I miss BTA too, and she did use alot of 4794. That was what I wondered about, it the wax would rattle in the jar, good to hear that it wasn't bad, but with a blend it probably won't even be an issue....oooh a week is SO long to wait!! Will look forward to your results.
  17. Hi OC, I found this link regarding using 4794 for containers, and it also says a much higher f/o load is possible. if you do test this mixture, I would love to hear your thoughts! http://cart.candlesupply.com/product.php?productid=18549&cat=400&page=1
  18. Since 4794 is formulated for votive candles, would it adher to the container? Also, the recommendations for f/o are 3-6% (info from Peak). Perhaps the 4627 would overcome those problems though... I have combined 4794 and 4627 for melts with good success.
  19. At our local Wally there were no Febreze melts (yet), but there were a ton of new Febreze Candles, 8 oz for 7.97 (wood wick) and a larger double wick that I could not find the price on. You are right, super cheap cannot last forever!
