    ksranch What a great idea! Faithful, could you rent a canopy? I always liked them, keeps the sun from glaring on the product, encloses your "space". Our party store rents them for a half day, realize that is another expense though.

    I was wondering what would happen too, I just got in a sample of soy pillar, I am glad I read this or I would have hugged away! Does the wax shell break?

    stiredbird, It appears that your burned your candle right after you made it? I don't use soy, but my understanding is that soy candles must be "cured" for a few days before burning to get the best scent throw, maybe some of the soy experts will chime in. In the meantime there is tons of information available by using the "search" function, it will become your new best friend! Best of luck!

    That family is fortunate to have friends like you two to help with fundraising. I love the idea of putting together a votive candle bundle. Perhaps you could perfect another couple of scents for your votives by the time the fundraiser is held. Best wishes to you!
