  1. I feel your "hoarding" problem... I won't throw out extra wax either! Pam is spot on though - I make candles for the patio and/or firestarters with my leftovers too!
  2. I use Peak's and it's a best seller for me! Love it!
  3. Thanks all for the replies! I think I'm going to have to add BW to my list... so if there is anything else there I should try I appreciate suggestions!
  4. yikes... I won't do that either!
  5. I would suggest adding your fo at 175 - 185 as well. However, if you good fo's (like CS) I don't think you need more than 1oz PP
  6. I do two in one day sometimes... but it depends on when I did the first one. Important thing (to me) is to wait long enough to be sure the candle is completely cooled off..
  7. I've been going through old threads on the board today looking for a good Pumpkin fo for soaping - seems Backwoods "Grammy's Yummy Punkin" or BW "Pumpkin Cornbread" get a lot of support in this area. Anyone have any others I should try? I don't currently order from BW, so if I do end up going for one of these then I should also ask if there are any other Fall/Holiday have to haves from them?
  8. Bummer, I was afraid it should be like that! Thanks!
  9. This may be a dumb question, but I haven't used EO's before. I got some of OT's Bug Off and going to make soap and lotion. Question is - do I have to list all the different EO's in the blend on the label? Or label as usual and just add "EO's" like I do "FO"?

    4625/4630 mix

I use that blend, in that ratio, but my melts are much smaller so I don't have to fight the sinking. I would up the % of 4630 and pour cooler.
  11. I do mine according to the size - an hour for each inch in diameter - so, for a 3" diameter 3 hours.
  12. Suzy, thank you so much! I swear I looked there - didn't see it because it wasn't under B!
  13. wow...guess I was dreamin! lol Thanks anyway!
  14. I know I saw it somewhere and then when kidding around everybody wants it - now I can't for the life of me find it!! Anyone know who has Bacon Flavoring oil for lip balm?? ((mms has chocolate bacon, but I saw plain bacon somewhere))
  15. I make them but I don't use your wax so can't advise on wick size other than you would probably have better luck triple wicking them. But chuck_35550 is right... extensive testing is an absolute must, as well as proper warning labels.
  16. They look lovely! What scent? You got that 'rustic' look by not heating your mold prior to pouring in the wax - I like that look as well!
  17. the not getting it when you wanted it does suck... I know the feeling. But, I wouldn't be so hard on Peak - I've been using them for years and have never had any bad experiences with them. The one (and only) time something wasn't 100% they replaced it free (including shipping) and promptly.
  18. I use 4625 and 4630 for everything... one or the other or a mix
  19. you won't smell the witch hazel after a few minutes
  20. I'm testing that one now... so far so good!
  21. yep, I have a separate bag of bsoda that I dip the mold in and shake off all the extra so it's very lightly coated, but it works!
  22. Could be a couple of things - with the metal molds I sometimes "coat" the inside with baking soda and that helps - or it could be your stuff is a touch to dry - spritz (sparingly) with Witch Hazel.
