Hello ladies and gents. I've snooped on here for many years, and posted a few times, but I've finally come across a question I just can not find an answer to. Has anyone ever rebatched their candle wax? I have been saving my wax scraps (left over wax from testing) a/k/a hoarding problems. My thoughts are it's scented. If I made a candle is the smell going to be horrible? Will the previous oils burn off? Right now, all the scraps sitting in a plastic bag together smell magnificent. And in no way shape or form would I ever sell this. Just a shame to waste. So figured if I could just rebatch for my home/office. If no, then I will just throw it out. Thoughts....

I use Ecosoya Xcel and PB. No, do not mix them unless your doing wax/tarts/melts. I've never had any luck with the "suggested" pour temps. I always pour at a low temp. I know they get a bad wrap, but honestly I've never encountered a problem with HT. I do tend to notice with ANY candle. I make soy and paraffin, if I burn it at home I basically smell nothing. When I take them to the office, they smell awesome. Advice to all.... take your candles else where when you want to test scent throw.

Saves a ton of money! With a 6" wick about 80% of the time I can do three more candles with the left over wick.

For counter tops, I always use a cookie sheet, so counters are always clean when I'm done. Floors, depending on your floor type, use a scraper, with care of course. Pour pots, I re-heat and use paper towels to clean them out.

Try using a butter knife to get the wax out, while standing over a garbage can. Whatever is left over (which should be very little) stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Make sure your wick tab has been removed before using the microwave. Then clean it with a papertowel.

Hi there! I made wedding favors for friend. Did them in the 2oz tin, and created a simple label on top with their names and wedding date. Had the bride choose what fragrance was her favorite. Simple & easy. Hope that helps.
