  1. Yes, twice using the same color. This has only been happening with the most recent case of wax.
  2. I've been adding some brown dye to darken up the red- a little at a time until it's the desired shade. I don't know what other people do, but it works for me.
  3. Thanks. The scent was from Just Scent. I'm very happy with the oils I got from her.
  4. Another one of my favorite scents. Made with 4045H. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.
  5. Yes, it's very messy. That's probably why I haven't made any for awhile.
  6. That's how I make marbles. I haven't made any for several years- I've seemed to have lost my marbles. LOL. Here's some pics of the ones I made. They were both scented, but I don't remember which scents I used.
  7. Thanks. It was Peak's Navy/ Country Blue liquid.
  8. Probably-I shock the s**t out of people, too.
  9. I love this scent! Made with 4045H. At least this one came out as planned.
  10. Julie, I sent you some pictures in a zip file. I didn't use a heat gun on it or any other tricks up my sleeve. I poured it hot (190) and put it in a water bath about a half hour later. You can see a darker ring at the bottom where the water level was. There was alot of stearic left on the sides and top of the mold when I removed the candle. I'm not sure what happened to get that finish. I certainly wasn't expecting it.
  11. Thanks. I'll have to try it again sometime. This one was supposed to be plain and smooth, but I like the look of it. I'm thinking the mold was too cool.
  12. This was a surprise. Not sure what to call this- besides weird. Made with 4045H, 2Tbs of stearic/ lb and poured hot (190) into a room temperature mold and it's not scented. Instead of white frosting common with rustics, this has silver frosting which doesn't show too good in the picture.
  13. Since it's your birthday, we could celebrate! Yes, you should use it. Make an air freshener for your car and park in front of a police station with your windows open. LOL. It's a very strong scent- take it easy on that stuff.
  14. I hope the prices go down alot but I'm not counting on it. A few weeks ago I took advantage of Candlewic's sale and paid $66 for a case of CBL125. The regular price has been around $75 for a while. The 4045H has been about $75 /case for a while too. I paid $40 for my last one.
  15. Scented Peak's Mary Jane and made with 4045H. It smells good and it's a relaxing scent. The overpour was a little too warm and the color bled (haven't made chunk candles for a long time), but I like how it turned out anyway.
  16. Thanks. I've had good luck with 24 ply flat braid wicks.
  17. Made with 4045H and scented Banana Nut Bread, poured at 145*. The red turned out a little darker than planned. The color combination seems odd, but I did it my way. I like to be different. Now I know why I haven't made any 6x6's for awhile. It took all day to cool- even in a water bath. I'm burning it right now and the smell is making me hungry.
  18. Thanks guys. I used red and brown liquid dyes. They're not the nicest things I've made. LOL. I was experimenting. I haven't had very good luck with anything lately. I've given up on making fancy stuff.
  19. Made with 4045H-poured at 147*. I was trying to get a smooth surface and it worked.
  20. Those are very nice! I wish I could be that creative.
  21. A couple of drops of teal dye worked for me. Thanks for the kind words. I usually don't worry about the colors matching the scents since I make them for myself, especially when using up scraps.
  22. The 3" one is scented Jamaica Me Crazy- I made this for the woman who cuts my hair to show my appreciation for the great service. The purple one is Honeysuckle. Both made with 4045H.
  23. Wow, that's quite a list of fo's you ordered. That should keep you busy for a few days. LOL. BTW, the Maryjane oil is very strong-use sparingly. I have a jar candle burning made with that scent (1/2 oz. pp) and it's really smelling up my place. Now I have the urge to roll one. I can't wait to see your creations.
  24. I made something to hold the mold at the desired angle.
