  1. Your creations never cease to amaze me! Needless to say they are beautiful and I haven't grown tired of viewing them. Keep them coming.
  2. To me, the mushrooming varies from fragrance to fragrance. I will get mushrooming with some FOs and not others. The amount of FO is another factor that will affect mushrooming. If you've been burning your candle for four hours, you can extinguish the flame, trim the wick and get rid of the mushroom. You can light your candle immediately thereafter. Be sure to remove any drippings from your pool of melted wax. I don't know anything about the "flowing air current" though. Sometimes the mushroom appears at the beginning, midway, near the end of the burn and sometimes not at all. I sure wish I could give a more definitive answer but as you know, there are no definite answers when it comes to candlemaking.

    Ocean Mist

I love the colors and the swirls. As usual very pretty.
  4. Thanks, Chris. I don't think I'm skilled enough at this point to try the goat's milk with LOTV but it sounds great. I am really excited about trying all of the FOs, just can't decide which one to try first.
  5. Based on your glowing reviews of Lily of the Valley and Pomegranate, on a whim I ordered and have received these fragrances from Sweetcakes, along with several others. They all smell divine out of the bottle. What kind of wax do you use with your candles? Do these throw in 415? Now that I think about it, I think you use a parasoy, right? Do these fragrances stick in CP soap? Do they discolor? Reach trace fast? What else can you tell me about these FOs? By the way, these florals happen to be favorites of mine also, just never tried them from Sweetcakes. I'm trying to minimize my testing ... getting lazy LOL.
  6. What a wonderful idea and very pretty. How do you give them to your customers? Do you wrap each square or place them in a box or some kind of container?
  7. Everybody has Spring fever. Postings will pick back up.
  8. Beautiful. How long did it take to whisk versus using the stick blender? I imagine you whisked to slow down trace, right? Is this the Soap Queen linear swirl using a slab mold?
  9. Do you know if people actually purchase these to burn? They look too pretty to burn in my opinion!
  10. I have encountered fuel smells and high flames and uneven burns caused by IGI waxes especially one pour waxes and generally paraffin waxes where all of the additives are blended in when you purchase the wax. This isn't necessarily a solution to your problem, but perhaps it will help you identify and isolate your problem in order to find a solution.
  11. Thanks Jcandleattic and MoonShadow for the information.
  12. Yippee! I thought so and am very happy that it is,CP. Will you help me get started after I get a fondant mat? Are you aware of any written instructions for this process? Thank you. Cynthia
  13. Beautiful! Love, love, love! Please put me out of my misery and tell me more about the process of using fondant mats. Will it work with CP and/or MP? Can you tell me where I can read more about fondant mats. You did a wonderful job with your fondant mats.
  14. You're good and obviously talented. Very vibrant and pretty colors. If I may ask, is this a particular technique or your own creation?
