Hi BigRigg!!! Welcome to the world of 4786! I have used this wax since I began my business 12 years ago...it has never let me down and I LOVE it!!! I, however do NOT love the second pour, but I know that this is just something I have to deal with..so all is good. This is my process....wash and dry jars throughly. Put jars on warmer or in oven at 120 or lowest temp (until ready to wick and pour wax into). While jars are warming, melt your 4786. I heat my 4786 no higher than 160 and pour at 155 (If you superheat your wax above 180 the scent will burn off leaving you with less scent left in your wax.) But anyhow, place UV inhibitor powder and coloring in wax pot. Stir like crazy for a minute or two. Then I get my jars off the warmer and wick them. I use these babies: LOVE THEM!! Then I hurry back and add the scent into my wax and stir like crazy for up to a minute, minute and half and then pour into the warm jars. If you are placing your pot into a pan of water to melt your wax, before pouring make sure you wipe the bottom of the pot off to make sure that no water accidentally drips into your jars while pouring. But, after all this is you will still have those wet spots...make peace with them.... when I make my jars, the very last thing that I ever worry about is the wet spots and my customers feel the same way. Hi Lorelei, For my candles I pour 4786 container wax into the bottom of the jar . For the embeds and whipped wax I use a 50/50 blend of votive 4794 and pillar 4625 and add 1 t per lb of vybar. I scent everything... embeds and whipped wax included. Makes beautiful candles!! I have gotten rave reviews from my customers on these candles. If you haven't tried them you should...they are so darned fun to make!!

Hi KS!!! Beautiful job !!!! I also make candles "that are over the top". Offering your customers something different such as the candle you have made is a VERY smart idea!! Your customers can't go to Walmart or Yankee Candle or Virginia Candle or Scentsy or anywhere else and buy such a gorgeous candle and people LOVE something "different"!! But anyhow these types of candles just don't look right unless they are over and above the rim of the jar that you are making them in...I tried it and they just don't look right. They are quite impressive and beautiful made just the way you made yours! What I decided to do to take care of any problem with overflow is that I include a candle pan (the price of which I include in the price of the candle) and if your customer already has purchased one of these candles that came with a pan, I would also offer these priced without a candle pan. I also offer pip berry rings/potpourri to place around the bottom of the candle (once the overflow problem is gone). There are some wonderful potpourri companies out there that you could buy beautiful potpourri accents to go around the bottom of this candle. I hope this helps. I would leave out the plastic spoon and anything flammable, definitely leave the embeds ..people don't need to remove those...will be fine as is, trim wick, but don't change the look of your candle , it is beautiful just the way it is!!

I enlarged the pic and noticed that you did some pretty intense sewing maneuvers (well I know maneuvers isn't the right word, but that is the first thing that came to my mind..hee hee) to make those pieces!!! I had hoped that the Pomegranate Cider would be more cider smelling but it is a VERY tart pomegranate. Even though I make with paraffin, I am going to have to let this one sit for a bit and melt it before I decide if I like it. Thanks for your input....keep me posted please!
