  1. Uhh, I have 2 dogs and a turtle LOL No ferrets here...
  2. I have a mini cupcake silicone mold. I want to use it for melts... pouring cake for the cake and a diff scent for the frosting. How do I know how much to pour for just the cake part? And, can I assume it is the same principle for pouring votives? temp wise? Ihave only made fluted/clamshells for wickless...
  3. We do not have 3Ks here in NY, but, that was the first thing I thought of... lol However, I also dislike names that are spelled cutesy, like grl, or meltz. Slang like that makes me feel like someone is texting... when texting, its fine. Business... I want things a little more professional.
  4. I just have to mention that there are 3 Ks, that might not fly in all areas... Just a thought.
  5. I don't like the idea of anything 'stinky'... but, I also did not like naming a candle Monkey Farts...
  6. Thanks for the link. Yes from a business perspective no cc company wants a merchant to charge their own card- I'm sure they all have fine print about it.
  7. Two banners each 2x4 is $32 TOTAL!!! Local places by me charge is about $70 each!!
  8. Hey everyone. Looking for tips for taking my own product photos... Such as angles, backgrounds, etc... Anything? :undecided
  9. I have PayPal as merchant, designer 218 and mals. I guess I wAnt to make sure that once someone pays, I am notified. So would I do a whole purchase And pay Nd everything and then just void or reverse or refund my payment?
  10. Hey everyone. Whet dud you all do to test out your shopping cart? I am specifically referring to the actual purchase. Making sure the cart works with the cc merchant. Ensuring the order goes to you, that you are notified, etc. I was under the impression we were not allowed to charge our own cards to test it. Ideas or advice?
  11. the colors are beautiful, but the photography is amazing! Those are great!
  12. Just make sure not to put the heat gun too close to the glass, or keep it there for too long... It can get too hot and shatter... ask me how I know.
  13. Agree. I wouldn't want to use them- they are stunning!
  14. I also loove getting supplies in the mail! Of course I have to sniff all the FO immediately! I have had a batch of clamshells smell skunky. MOST suppliers have shells that are just fine, though so I would not worry about it.
  15. Beautiful. I do have to ask, though... The soap has a lot of edges, are they uncomfortable while using?
  16. 2nd this- rubbing alcohol is your friend for this!
  17. I have my domain name with GoDaddy and my hosting with Designer 218. I used to have GoDaddy's Website Tonight but it was very difficult for me to have a professional looking site, and I did not even have a shopping cart! My site is still a work in progress, but I can tell you first hand that Mandy is super quick to respond to tickets! I am 150% happy that I switched from GoDaddy to Designer 218 hosting. I did purchase a web template from Polka Dot Dandy, but Boutique Mama also has some beautiful ones! HTH
  18. I did want to have the scents grouped by type- type, bakery, etc. so people are not faced with a long list of scents they have to choose from. I guess I want to be able to customize the background for each scent name and offering products by scent is the best way. Gerr, it will be a lot of uploading, typing and designing, but, I think it may be worth it... Lol
  19. Agree that the coloring makes it hard to read, especially the h and t, but, the font is not helping. It feels like an afterthought, almost disjointed.
