  1. I agree with you noodle.....small orders on a first order are the best way to go. I never spend much more than 30.00 on a first time order from any supplier to test the waters. But...with the way wsp charges....can't get much for 30 bucks I like to play around with MP sometimes to give myself a break from candles and remember wsp's soap bases being really nice so it's great to know that Jody's are the same or close....thanks for the feedback :smiley2:
  2. I ordered from her once a few months ago. 10 each of the blue, yellow and green tins(6 or 8oz) they were cheap..only 50 cents each so I decided to try them....well glad I didnt order more than that...most of them were scratched mostly at the tops....some dents...well they just didnt look all too good. I also ordered a few clear gloss label sheets....terrible....took forever to dry...smudgy and smeary mess. I believe I also got a dozen or 2 1 or 2oz pet spray bottles....they were fine. I didnt spend much money so I didnt bother to email her about the crappy tins but I havent ordered there since but that doesn't mean I won't......she sure does have tons of stuff.....one stop shopping pretty much. I just know to never buy those tins again....right now I use them for citronella candles and put pretty flower stickers on the tops to hide the scratches She shipped super fast and believe I got my order in 2 days. wow.....i just noticed I'm babbling going way OT...sorry!
  3. I think I may place another order in the next couple days. i like most of the oils and got a few samples of wax and liking the feather palm 3 wax and the smooth pillar blend for tarts.
  4. I love the Strawberry daquari, Red Apple Peel and Sugar Cane and vanilla so far. The Strawberry oob is terrible but oh so good in wax when burning. Not too thrilled with Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and the Whipped Pumpkin Pie.
  5. Thanks mzpickles....it came yesterday afternoon. That occured to me also yesterday about the 1oz fo sale...I ordered about 10 of them and haven't had a chance to test them much. I did get the Strawberry Daquari and I have to say OOB it was aweful but I made a few tarts with it and what a really nice scent it turned out to be....Thats the only scent I tested. I will deffiantley be ordering from them again
  6. Tristatecandlesupply ....came up in a google search C&S has a pellet form votive wax also.....it's called 4761 Hassel free votive wax. I never tried either but buy from C&S fairly often.
  7. Just got off the phone with them. She said it was out for delivery today so I should be getting it within a couple hours. I never got an email saying it was shipped and there was nothing about it on the website but glad that it's on the way I've been wanting to try out some of the Ultimate scents and can't wait to dig in
  8. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to give them a call shortly. I have read nothing but good things about Candlewic and was really surprised that I've had to wait this long for such a small order.
  9. Can anyone who has ordered from Candlewic tell me how long it usually takes to process an order? I placed a small order last Sunday to test out some FOs and a few waxes and they still have not shipped it out yet. I mean I can understand a day or 2 to get an order going but geez...5 days???? Maybe I'm just spoiled with how quick Candlescience or C&S or Berts ships and this is not a good way to get a potential customer. I had emailed them Wednesday morning asking about it and was told it was still processing and should go out that afternoon but still nothing. I have read so many good things about this company but I'm not at all impressed with how slow they are....is this normal to take so long? I'll proabably give them a call in a few hours to see whats up....maybe my order was somehow overlooked.
  10. Anyone get the email about this customer loyalty program? That is of no help at all to me since I usally only spent about 50 to 60.00 at a time but haven't purchased anything in the past month or so since this shipping mess has been going on and have no intentions of doing so any time soon. I agree with you noodle about the constant moaning about the price increases. Thats thier excuse everytime they are asked why the increase to begin with. They are full of crap and hot air.....
  11. OOOh that all sounds awesome. CS lemon Verbena is really really nice...sounds like a great combo with the vanilla. Everyone loves the Lemon Verbena here....I get some that say it smells like pledge but they love it anyway. I wasn't going to place an order for another week or so with CS but now I'm not so sure....may be doing it much sooner lol I cannot get enough of their oils and the fact they ship so lightning fast is a major bonus....I placed an order with Candlewic(for the very first time) this past Sunday for about 10 1oz samples and a few other things and still waiting on that order to be shipped but had I ordered from CS yesterday I would have that package tomorrow....oh well...I'll live and learn lol Thanks again for the ideas
  12. Mac Apple and Cinnamon Buns sounds like a great combo. I have mixed the Mac Apple with the Cinnamon Stick or Red Hot Cinnamon with a nice result. The Apple would probably go great with Struedel and Spice too. I also use 6006 so thanks for the tip Candlebuddy The Vanilla Lace is something I have not tried yet.....next on my list on next order. The Black Cherry fo is another one that has a great throw in 6006
  13. I get the spray base from CMS for 16.99 a gallon. It can be used as a room and linen/body spray base. It doesn't have that super strong alcohol smell that many bases have and for the price this stuff works very well but I have mainly used it as a R&L spray for the most part. I had made a Love Spell body spray from this base for myself and really like it and have recieved many compliments on it. HTH
  14. I find Pink Grapefruit to be a nice clean refreshing scent. I have always loved that scent in soaps sprays or any kind of scented product. I agree with lemon also...anything citrus is very invigorating Also Love Spell is a very popular scent around here.
  15. Pumpkin Souffle, Mac apple, Lemon Chiffon, Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Smoke and Odor Elim(really does work well), Love Spell, lemon Verbena, Red Hot Cinnamon, Strudel and Spice, Very vanilla, Sunwashed Linen, Apple Jack and Peel, Cranberry Marmalade(my most favorite cranberry anywhere) IMo the Pumpkin Souffle and Mac Apple throws the strongest(I use 6006) They all throw great actually but those 2 seem to be the strongest.....Love Spell is another strong one. You can't go wrong with CS....great customer service, fast shipping and top notch products and they don't gouge you with high shipping fees
  16. They are beautiful! I especially love the one with the daisies
  17. Thank you Luminous That does not sound good at all....not something I want to experience lol
  18. I feel like a moron asking this question but I'm gonna ask anyway....what does the term zap mean? I do mostly candles and tarts and sprays and the occasional Mp soap but don't know diddly squat about CP and HP but I do love looking at everyones pics of swirly soaps and all
  19. Nobody is jumping on any bandwagon here. There was a complaint posted on their forum but that was pretty much stopped dead in its tracks. The person that complained was in so many words told to not complain about it and to take it up with them over the phone. For anyone to be happy over such an absurd price increase is absurd in itself. They charge too much for some items to begin with( FOs for one thing) yet some prices on some products are...no were pretty decent but not anymore when they want to charge such outragous shipping fees. I don't think they are going to change these prices anytime soon becuase that would mean admitting to the overcharge sooooo it's time to move on to a better and cheaper company.....a company that cares about ALL of thier customers.
  20. Seems to be nothing but GREED involved with this company. I'd almost swear they are almost trying to brainwash people into thinking they have our best interest at heart.....NOT.....the only interest they have is making their wallets thicker. I know I can find cheaper and better products elsewhere....besides I honestley don't think the FOs they sell are all that great in candle wax...maybe ok for B&B but I haven't found 1 thats seems to have a very good throw in candles. It looks as though the company is going to go down the crapper if they don't wise up.....they are doing it themselves by being greedy and lying to people saying that they are losing money and absorbing costs...blah blah blah
  21. great work! The hand painted glass is beautiful!
  22. Mabe some steric? I've never made them before but if it works for candles and soap maybe it will for the crayons? Just guessing at that one. Sounds like a really cute idea....something my grandson would love.
  23. I'm done ordering from them too. I posted a week or so ago about the shipping fees on a color block alone...5.95 for 1 89 cent block. I'm not sure if the price is supposed to be removed at the end of checkout? If not...say you order 2 candle color blocks that comes to almost 12 bucks...ummm no thanks... They need to correct this new system they have or they are going to loose alot of customers. The FO prices are crazy high also even with the free shipping yet the items that I used to get from them were the candle tins and PET bottles because those prices are pretty good(no free shipping on them) The MP soap bases are 5.50 per 2lb block with free shipping so thats not too bad if you are only getting that amount. For the most part...the prices are way out there and as long as thats the case I'm staying away and sticking with my favs....CS and Berts
