Same here for me.....just test burned my candle with berts CC using IGI6006 ....1oz fo to a lb wax ....small 4oz hex jar with 2 inch diameter top and no dye....waited about 5 days for it to cure. also used a cd # 5 wick and another one a htp 41....no luck oh and also a votive with an htp41...same thing...yucky fuel smell My tarts smelled beautiful also soylights....what a great scent this is....for tarts and sprays I had no problems. A perfect not too overpowering peppermint and I was so sure it would work but nada. I have an order coming today from Rustic essentals and am getting 2 free 1oz fo samples which one of them I picked the candy cane...it claims on the website that it throws great in soy....but who knows....I'm about ready to give up on making candy cane candles and thought it would be a great xmas scent.....well at least the tarts smell good but not everyone likes using those burners...some just like candles. I'll let you know in a few days of curing on the sample....I have a little bit of palm wax, I may try doing a palm wax candle and see how that goes. What I really really loved from Berts and it throws great in the 6006 is the Dark chocolate mint....don't smell much mint(mostly chocolate) but yummmmm does it smell great

I don't much care for the simple soy wicks....I have #2 and #3 and had used them with the SP wax which I didn't much care for either. Eco wicks work better..IMO I have ordered from them several times and the wicks and wax are the only 2 things I didn't care for...everything else I was happy with

Me too please!!!! I love anything cinnamon but the FO I have from CS smells great it's just not strong enough. Now the Red hot Cinnamon is nice and strong but I don't want to add that one to the VV. You are welcome monvi

thechemistrystore.com has those cute little frosted 2 and 8ml fine mist spray bottles at a pretty good price if that's the type of spray bottle you are looking for Perfect purse size...I think they also have the roll on glass bottles too

Nope soylights..you are not alone.. I just placed an order for a small 4oz bottle of Candy Cane FO from Berts along with a few other sample size FOs(my first order with this supplier) and will let you know if it works out or not I also purchased a bunch of different sized CD wicks to try. I 've been using eco and htp but reading alot about how much better CD wicks work with soy. Finding the right wick can be very frustrating to say the least

I've been having the same exact problem with Candy Cane/Peppermint FOs. No problem at all with cold throw or tarts but lit in a candle and the smell is not very good at all. A fuel smell is a perfect description of it. I have tried it in IGI 6006 and also Glassglow palm wax . Does anyone know of a good peppermint or candy cane fo that will work well with any type of soy or palm wax? I found it really wierd that the tarts I made smelled great melting away on my little burner....cold throw wonderful too...bu that smell of the lit candle....ick lol

Yesterday I added a small amount of Thecandlemakerstores Home sweet Home(which smelled like clove to me) along with the Cinnamon and Very Vanilla and that smelled pretty good too. I call it Spiced Vanilla. Thanks for the tip about using q tips and FO in a bag Stella! I have wasted quite a bit of FOs mixing this and that in small bottles only to sniff and say yuck. lol You are all so full of great advice here I'm so new to candlemaking and still have sooooo much to learn and have learned alot from this forum in such a short amount of time being here.

yes...all 3 are B&B safe..... I just checked I'm pretty sure the free shipping only applies to the FOs and something else(may be soap molds) but when all I need is a few oils i'll usually go there to save a few bucks

Thanks maggie It really is a clean beautiful scent. I love the fact that the FOs are all free shipping allthough some of the oils are a bit pricey. Clean Cotton and Sunwashed Linen from CS are also imo very nice. I'm still trying to learn all the supplier abbrevaitions and slowly getting them all figured out lol

Hi! First post and have to say I LOVE this forum! I have made a room and linen spray with Aqua Spa from WSP that smells beautiful. Haven't tried in a candle yet.
