  1. my main ones are candlescience, cierra's, just scent, and at wix end. I have gotten some from nice things from classifieds for others.
  2. forgot to say, another good scent i love from there is grandmas kitchen! I found it at cierras candles, but would love to find a supplier in ohio w/ the same scent of "grandmas kitchen', as that could smell like 20 different things. The one i am looking for has a cider like scent. It throws so great is soy!
  3. I use their creme brulee too. I dont have much left and Im in the same boat as you! I use 444 and tried candle science and cierras creme brulee. Neither was even close to how great wix is! I dont know what i am going to do!!!Im glad you posted this, I guess I will have to get some of the recommended samples!
  4. I just made melt and pour for the first time today! I made goats milk soap and used lily of the valley FO. I used 3% but weighed it out, at .4 oz. Was I supposed to measure out in tsp??? I did 12 oz of base to the .4 oz of fo. Also, i was wondering if anyone makes the m&p and just does the base, fo, and dye? how well does that sell for ya???? I like simplicity, but didnt know if it "had" to be doctored up to sell well... thanks:)
  5. Cierra candles has a lavender, that is good and super strong is 444.
  6. My opinion is, if it makes you feel better, and isnt going to cost you money, then go for it! People need to be held accountable for their actions. The longer they get away w/ that behavior, the more it will continue. You wont get taken by this person again, but maybe you can save someone else from being in the same position. I am just so sick of ppl not being accountable, and that is in general, not just to this situation. oh, If I was in your shoes, i would probably do it too, I guess I would have to be in that situation to really know for sure then.
  7. I too have been wanting to try M&P for awhile, and I am getting my shopping list together! thanks so much!
  8. I bought a bottle of oil from the classifieds on here, just to try it out, and its VERY strong, not my favorite scent, but def strong. I was going to buy more from him, but didnt see a scent that I "needed" lol.
  9. I also started making candles for myself b/c i thought it would be cheaper, I was buying high end candles and paying around $23 per candle and going through them so fast! Then once i got good at making them word got out and i started selling to family friends, mostly a hobby still, but if you are going to selll many, you have to do price comparing, etc. I sure didnt want to lose money. We are going to see how this yr goes, and maybe next yr, have a formal business. I kind of like it being my hobby and something i "can" do and not "have" to do. So, we'll see. I spent lots of money finding oils that I like, and I am STILL adding and eliminating scents. I like to look in classifieds and see if anyone is selling stuff from a supplier that i order from, then you can usually get it at a cheaper cost, and try it out, that may be something to consider before buying many more fo from suppliers. Have fun!
  10. Looks GREAT!!!! Very organized and customer friendly!
  11. Very nice! I like the round labels! I think I am going to print some out tonight and see how i like them on my candles!
  12. my husband cracks on me LOTS when i re-name oil scents! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that catches that, LOL!!!
  13. hi, I have some that only smell strong for 8-12 hrs, then some that are fairly strong past 12 hrs. I dont have any that last more than 24 hrs, or i should say are as strong as i would like them for 24 hrs. HTH....
  14. They look AWESOME! I want to try to make soap, but it looks really difficult. when i have more time and patience, i will give it a go!
  15. hmmmm, i dont know what happend. I think there are so many variables that can make big differences in outcomes. Sometimes things are just hit and miss! I hope your next batch works out better:)
  16. on the door i have one of the plastic shoe organizers that i have wicks and many other misc. things organized in.
  17. oh, I guess it did work! The counter top that is leaning on the wall, is now on 2 cabinets, like the other one is! I finally got to work in it, and I LOVE it! soooooo much easier! and my kitchen is staying clean too! Thanks for all the tips! I appreciate everyones input!
  18. I am trying to upload some pics, but i dont think it worked!
  19. I use 444 and did use 464 in silicone molds. The 444 releases perfect! Never had a problem w/ them coming out, and that is after only 2 hrs of setting up. The 464 was more difficult sometimes to remove, but if I let them set up over night, I never had any problems.
  20. you may want to get a little sample of the 444 and try just to see what you think about it??? I LOVE it. Some scents i use CO in, but i dont have to use it for all FO. I guess you also have to see what local suppliers carry as well, when looking into options. good luck w/ finding something that works for ya! Can be frustrating sometimes, but i love this site, great people to resource to!
  21. I have never used c3. i have used cb advanced, 464, and 444. the cb adv was pretty soft, imo. the 464 would come out of the molds, but the 444 was much better.
  22. Im not sure who made that rule, but i do use gb444 and have no problem in doing so when i make tarts. Thats why I like that wax, b/c i can use for my containers and tarts, save me $$$ and makes great tarts. The only thing i cant make are the pie crust, they always break!
  23. I too, like the black, and was also distracted by the flower pic for cinn buns scent. Its a VERY nice and classy label though!
  24. Thanks for the info! I will have to check them out!
