  3. I think that is about as close you are going to get. The top and bottom portions may burn a little hotter, but once it gets to the middle portion, it will burn cooler. You are not going to have a consistant burn given the fact that this container has such a dramatic diameter difference from start to finish.
  4. See most men do love those spicy, earthy types. And so do I. But with my hubby, he hates earthy types cause he said they smell moldy. He likes the more fresh or fruity types. :rolleyes2 I think if I make him something with additivies in it, and he will think it is more benefitial.
  5. candle supply companies are much cheaper.
  6. Do a search, I think others who have tried this, end up having a big mess on their hands. It seems the salt thins out the base too much and never re-hardens. You may have to also add a hardener like Steric Acid or something.
  7. I think almond seed meal or apricot seed meal would be better.
  8. I have used P-2 with great sucess and no additives, colors come out great with little to no blooming, unlike the P-1.
  9. here is a great one from Southern Sopers Ferns of Muir Woods is a woodland moss fragrance with overtones of citrus and a touch of wood. Fresh, calm and irresistible to the senses as a walk in the woods. Think of the cool lushness of the forest floor with dew on the ferns as you brush past them. Ferns of Muir Woods exudes freshness and well-being. Light lemon verbena top notes give lift and freshness to a herbaceous middle element of lavender and rosemary, finishing with a heart of patchouli, sandalwood, cedar and fragrant green mosses. Ferns of Muir Woods soap beautifully in our CP soap formulations with no acceleration or discoloration. http://southernsoapers.com/cart/ferns-of-muir-woods-p-387.html

  11. this sounds like a great idea. I have already refused to buy any other soaps, but he is the one that will go out and buy his own soap. I think I will try making something like a oatmeal and honey soap. something that will get his attention and yet be very gentle on his skin.
  12. great coloring on those. extremely cute
  13. My husband is a little ignorant regarding how all soap is made. he refuses to use mine cause he knows its made with oils and seems to believe that other name brand bar soaps are oil free??? Anyone have any some advise on how I can make my husband understand that most all soap is made from saponified oils???
  14. great job, and thanks for the heads up on the plastic
  15. I just left this comment on your other post in the photo gallery. Just make sure to check on them every so often before its time to give them away as gifts.
  16. they look nice and smooth. Just a heads up, sometimes metal tins will have a reaction with some FOs so keep a look out for anything strange happening while you are awaiting to give them them out as gifts.
