  1. Very cute products. His presentation is awesome.
  2. I would think that 2 htp 62's should do it. Are you giving enough burn time to test properly? Or maybe backing off your FO load would help increase the burn.
  3. Yes, they have a small selection of recycled glass. Sometimes they have discounts on them, but FYI they are very heavy, thick walled jars and can easily cost alot in shipping. I have the Recycled Glass Sun Mugs and they are very heavy duty. I use them for drinking though.
  4. Millcreek has the best Mediterranean Fig
  5. awesome deal. Just a heads up that he may not be filtering the wax as much as you may need it to be for cosmedic use. You may have to melt it down a few times and pour it through some cheese cloth in order to get all the particles out.
  6. Yes soy can be sneaky. You think that you avoided frosting once they have been cooled and stored away. Yet later on, usually due to the change in temperature, that frosting will start showing up. Its best not to color the c-3 this time of year. I find its the cold weather that likes to make them frost. Even if you are able to prevent it with the candles you have on hand, once the customer gets them into their possession, the way that the store them or burn them, may also cause the frosting to appear. Even if you do explain to them about natural frosting with soy, they will be turned off by your product, once the frosting messes up the pretty color that they were once attracted to.
  7. tooo freaken cute, great idea with the decals
  8. located in WA huh? hmmm I may try them out sometime, thanks for the heads up
  9. congrats on your new born. you will be having some more fun soon
  10. the liquid dye you used is not strong enough to hold up in CP soap. It is probably more used for MP soap. It morphed due to the lye and heat.
  11. chips??? I dont know of any soap safe colorant that comes in chip form. You should premix your micas or oxides with a little bit of water or glycerine, then you can incorporate them better in the crockpot.
  12. the toaster oven is probably too hot. Usually after you make the CP soap and pour it into the mold, you cover it and place into the oven on a warm setting, not higher than 200 degrees. then let cook for maybe 1 hour and turn off the oven and let the soap sit overnight before you cut.
  13. That sounds like an awesome belnd, I just may have to try that tonight.
  14. Always stay around 30% with the coconut oil Here is a recipe using the same oils, just adjusted amounts. It yeilds 2lbs (32oz) Crisco 8oz (25%) Castor 2oz (6.25%) Coconut Oil 10oz (31.25%) Olive 12oz (37.5%)
  15. I agree. I have a great recipe that consists of only Coconut, Olive, Palm, Soybean and stearic, sometimes for a little extra silkyness, I add some shea butter. But I dont waste my money throwing expensive oils into a bar soap recipe.
  16. Looking good girl. I havent soaped in a while either and I was able to whip up two batches last weekend. No pretty swirling in mine though. Just some solid coloring. I did pick some awesome FO's and though and my house is smelling yummy. I mixed some Green Tea and Bamboo with Lemongrass Sage, colored it sage green. The other batch I scented Wildberry Musk and colored it purple. All FOs from OT.
