  1. Thought maybe I would give room sprays a try. Any suggestions on best place to find an amber bottle (plastic) with sprayer? Thanks...
  2. when I read this, I wonder if it's worth it to continue to make candles.
  3. I love these kind of posts. When I go to make candles, I can never think of anything!
  4. People are extremely whacky these days. I had a woman come in today and throw a $5 bill on the counter for a $16.99 plus tax item. When my daughter told her the price, (which was clearly marked), she flipped out and made a horrible scene in the store! "Why that price is ridiculous!! This is not worth more than $5.00" blah, blah, blah. The item cost me $9.50 wholesale plus shipping!!! I think I would have shoed her to the door and told her to shop at the dollar store up the road if I'd had been there. I'd tell that woman, if she was stupid enough to send you payment in a form that you don't and haven't accepted, she can pay to cancel the check, period.
  5. FYI - Good luck with internet petitions with signatures. They usually aren't acceptable.
  6. Eliminate possibilites one at a time. Sun allergies, food and medicine allergies USUALLY start on the chest, neck, & trunk, sometimes arms. Detergent allergies for me would start on the waste band of my clothes. I've never reacted to anything with it starting on my legs. Legs could mean contact with a poison plant of some kind, maybe brought in by the pet. And, it keeps spreading.
  7. can you go into your printer's properties and change the output to glossy if you aren't getting a good copy?
  8. I put a ton of additives in mine as well. Just melt the base and then add the other ingredients leaving the goat's milk for last. It will be a bit oily at first, but blot with a paper towel and it will be much better.
  9. add some CO and mix in some pariffin. IF the candle is predominately soy, you will be okay. Label the candles as soy blend.
  10. I use 10% with a 60/40 blend along with CO I had to knock it down on some scents because a couple of my customers said the smell was so strong they had to blow out the candle periodically. Go figure.
  11. mix with some soy, and try some CD wicks.
  12. I think that is all so wonderful and very generous, however, what about the bastards that caused this!!!!!!!!!! Why should you suffer???? This should ALL be at their expense!!!!! I can't even look at those birds all covered in oil
  13. Really...it wouldn't be worth it to me even though I sell candles, this can all be very frustrating. Every where you turn there's a circumstance, isn't there?
  14. I bought some of the fine parchment paper at Walmart in the office supply dept. and came up with a full page design. Just printed it out on the parchment and wrapped my soap with it like a little shopping bag. Added some rafia and slipped it into plastic cello bag. Labeled it and it turned out really cute. Actually - The worst part of making things these days is coming up with the packaging, even though it looks nice, I hate doing any of it. This turned out to be a fairly inexpensive way at least...thought I'd share.
  15. always liked C3 with CO, now trying GB464 with CO Liked the throw with the C3 much better, but something changed with the last batch I mix with 4627
  16. I have one Fed number and 2 businesese under that. One LLC and one just a sole proprietor at this point. Had to do an extension and am actually going to an accountant in an hour to see how the taxes are filed. Will let you know what he does.
  17. what is the reaction with coconut oil topically? A rash?
  18. Thanks...maybe that will be the next one I try!!!
  19. Clarus is from what supplier? I feel like I'm starting all over again!!!!!!!!!
  20. I don't know about the C3 at Early American. The last 50 lbs was not what the other C3 was like. End product was completely different
  21. My C3 combo with pariffin is not the same anymore. The only thing that changed was a new batch of C3. The supplier claims that the only difference between this batch and my former batches is that ELEVANCE was now the distributor. The formula was the same, blah, blah, blah, Since I'm not familiar with the goings-on of suppliers, distributors, etc...who am I to question it? Well, my new C3 is distinctively different in the final product. The fabulous scent throw I USED to get is just not there. I have tried 6 different FO's...all the same. I ordered some 464 to see how that will fair. This adventure is getting somewhat more bothersome than fun anymore. Is anyone else feeling the same? I'm really liking the simplicity of mixing up some good M&P these days.
  22. Wondering if anyone has noticed different labeling and if their C-3 appears different in any way.
