  1. Stella - now you sound like the majority of the rest of us......good luck, I'm totaly inept, can only do M&P
  2. yes..doesn't make sense as described. Did she mail items without them being paid?
  3. I pay for 2 domain names for another business of mine, but I never set up a website. I'm not savvy on the particulars, but wouldn't the 20 dollar charge a month cover your domain name? Just curious, as I am paying for the domain name
  4. I was sifting through my boring FO bottles. Glad to hear this news.
  5. I tried a small amount in my para-soy mix and I think it actually decreased the hot throw
  6. Your last 2 posts just shows your arrogance. What a shame you must be that way. Your put a damper on this whole forum with your attitude and conceit. I bet your only friends are your candles.
  7. Bella Rose - you haven't been a member too long on this forum, but you act like you run the thing. Can your opinions be a little less abrasive?
  8. Never even knew about a fragrance finder. Candlemaking and soap making is a "happy time" and for some, a satisfying business. You can be vert creative and easily share with others, the fruits of your labors. Why are there so many sour-pusses on this site? It's just not once in a while, but every other post has a smart ass comment or reply to something. It's like the "candlemakers from hell" forum.
  9. My mother has to blow out my candles sometimes, because they cause her shortness of breath. My husband sneezes with every RED candle I make. It doesn't matter what scent it is, if it's red, he sneezes. My cat is continual contortioned (?) into an upside down stance, itching, biting and scratching despite the fact we have tried every food on the market - sometimes I think it's the candles. My daughter who is an asthmatic - has no problems at all. I do get headaches if I've made several kinds of candles.
  10. does anyone pay insurance on their own merchant account? Curious -because they told me (my merchant processor) that if I didn't pay it and someone's card numbers were stolen and they could track it to my account, I could be liable for up to $10,000 for each stolen incident. Based on that alone, why would anyone admit that their system could have been the breach.
  11. has anyone contacted any of the suppliers with their suspicions? I know CS has a post here.
  12. soy327 - pm me with address. Another thing...did you try different FO's or did you just use one FO with all the problems? Sometimes a particular FO can do strange things. Cabernet drives me nuts.
  13. you want to try one of my candles? Glad to send you one!
  14. put this on another post. Ordered from NG a couple weeks ago, notified on Sunday - it's the xbox thing that got charged.
  15. Add NG (recently- 2 weeks ago) and CS a few months back (maybe October)
  16. I've known attorneys to screw up more than I would like to remember. Just use your good common sense. Why would you want to use someone else's name? I'm proud of what I produce in my 3 businesses. I don't want to share that with anyone else.
  17. Got a call from my cc company on SUnday am, my cc (used only recently at NG, and the online vehicle reg.) was used for some gaming on internet.
  18. did I miss something? Was there a cross the board problem with cc's? Curious....I just had my numbers stolen and used.
  19. you have to throw some pariffin in there for the best mix
  20. Not sure of the nitty gritty - but if someone already has a federal trademark - pick out a different name.
  21. Laser is a heat set. Inkjet isn't. Invest in a color laser printer but make sure you change the settings to what you are using. If you use a glossy label and don't change the output to glossy, you will still have some smudging. Even though the toner is more expensive in the beginning, you have to replace it a lot less than when using those cartridges.
  22. my wax mix doesn't compleltely melt until it reaches 190 to 195 - I then turn the pot off immediately pour into the pour pot and add my FO. Sometimes, I've let the heat get too hot after melting and you can see a little sizzle. If I put the FO in then, I think the FO gets burned off. If the wax is melted and not sizzling, I put in the FO. I think everything depends on what you're using. I do know that after putting in the FO - the scent will pop out, and you can't put your nose close to the pour pot. That's when I know it will work. I don't use a thermometer all the time because I've had too many traumas with them.
  23. I use the C3 and the 4627 and I had some cracking as well. When I poured cooler and slowed down the cooling process, I haven't had the cracking. I use more 4627 in the blend though than you do and I add CO to the mix. I also wanted to note if certain scents have anything to do with it. Maybe it was just a matter of coincidence the scents I used different after the cracking problem just didn't have the tendency.
  24. I haven't made tarts for a while now, but I do believe I have the Ecosoya pb and with 1 oz per lb. they were excellent tarts. I did add 1 oz 6006 to it for some reason (probably because I can't leave anything alone). The few I made and jarred for sale ended up selling quite well.
  25. Pour a little cooler and that should help. Sometimes I poke a relief hole as well (when I remember) and just heat it over with a heat gun.
