  1. I've tried both versions of Country Berry Hotcakes. They're both very different. While Peaks' version had a great throw, my testers much preferred BCN's version of it.
  2. From your list I've tried brown sugar pecan, caramel apple, chocolate chip cookie dough and nana's old fashioned apple butter. The cookie dough one didn't have a knock your socks throw for me- did throw, just didn't knock me down like I like or like the others I've tried from your list. The nana's old fashioned apple butter should be moved to a must have IMO- it's YUM and perfect for fall! The caramel apple is excellent- out of all the caramel apple ones I've tried, this one is my favorite.
  3. I use the OMH from Millcreek. People seem to love it!
  4. I put mine in the freezer for about 20 minutes after making them. Then I take them out and put them in little bags. I used one last night that I made last spring and it worked fine for me. I store them in my basement.
  5. I've tried several from the Candle Source- don't let their prices fool you, their oils are AWESOME! Excellent ustomer service and reasonably priced super quick shipping are just a great bonus!
  6. Mine are normally grainy too- they don't look anywhere as pretty as they do in the posted pictures. Not sure why and I've followed the recipe to a T also. The last batch I made, I added an extra ounce of cocoa butter and they were less grainy than before, but still grainy. They are still completely awesome when they're grainy though- they're my favorite thing! LOL
  7. It's not on your list, but I'll echo the Wahmshoppes suggestion. They're set up very similar to the DIYestores but MUCH cheaper.
  8. I make mine with FBB too. I take the FBB, sweet almond oil, FO and a TON of sugar.
  9. I've used the Honey and Shea- if you've ever smelled it from B&BW, this is a dead on dupe IMO. I don't think I've put it in soy wax, but I did put it in paraffin tarts and got a great throw from it. If you do B&B it's devine in soap and lotions!
  10. I used it in 4794. While it didn't have a killer throw, it did throw for me both hot and cold.
  11. I emailed her last week when she posted, but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone that emailed heard from her? I really want to get some VBN!
  12. I use Crisco in my tarts. 1-2 oz pp in 4794. I definitely get a better scent throw from the tarts with the crisco added than I do if I hadn't added anything.
  13. I poured the Cherry Clove Chutney last night. It's very...different. I haven't decided if I like it or not. I don't smell much clove, or cherry even- to me it sort of smells like burned wood-lol
  14. Try MMS (www.thesage.com) They have glycerine and will ship USPS if you ask them to!
  15. Duct tape! LOL Just kidding. Mine are 4 and 5. The oldest is in Kindergarten all day. If it's a day with no school then they entertain eachother for the most part. If just the youngest is home, I'll pop in a movie for her or set up some sort of craft at the table. Sometimes I have her help me, like putting labels on bags for tarts. It takes her an hour to finish off one sheet of labels but it makes her feel involved and important! LOL
  16. I agree! Their oils are sooooo inexpensive but everyone I've tried has done very well in whatever I've put it in, even better than some of the more expensive places. I have to agree that it boils down to a "try and see" type of thing. What works for one will not work for another.
  17. Sell them! They might not be extremely colorful, but they ARE pretty and the tops are really unique.
  18. Those are soooo pretty! I love pink and black together:D
  19. I use it too- love it! I pour mine into twist up lotion sticks but see no reason why you couldn't put it in a tin!
  20. I absolutely LOVE Snowtops oils so don't get me wrong, but I was very disappointed in their raspberry dream. It throwed great, but to me it smelled nothing like raspberries- if I remember right it reminded me of fabric softener sheets for some reason. I haven't tried a whole lot of raspberry scents, but Raspberry Vanilla Creme from Just Scent is nice.
  21. Millcreeks Pumpkin Pie Spice is good. It's got much more spice than Pumpkin Crunch Cake.
  22. I have used the one from MC, while it did throw for me, the one from Peaks was much stronger to me.
  23. To me, CMS and Harvest spice from MC are very different. I've tried almost all of MC's oils and none of them smell similar to CMS to me.
  24. Snowtop, Millcreek and The Candle Source get my vote!
