  2. What are the best natural soap colors? (MP) I bought some Red annato powder andit is beautiful I can make all different shades from it too.
  3. I'm going to try some MP with essential oils in a massing bar. I want to try this mold b/c it's look so unique. I'm afraid of those little thingy's falling off though. Anyone ever use this one? What do you thinK? Jeesh, it's kind of pricey too. Also how do you think I should wrap this one? Just pull the plastic wrap tight over it? http://www.siliconesoapmolds.com/moldlarge.asp?prim=10d0-11massage4
  4. I was worried about scents fading too. So far though I haven't had that problem. I made some lotions w/lav about 6 months ago then I packed them away before we moved. They were in the garage during extreme temp changes and everything. I just opened them up and they still smell great! I'm wanting to make MP soaps now and I just pray that they hold the scent.
  5. I'm not finding any threads on EO's in here. I can see why though because the FO's are so much fun! I was just looking for someone to share ideas with about EO's. I'm trying to create natural products so I've decided to stick to EO's. So far everyone loves my Peppermint EO Whipped Shea Butter. We all want to just eat the stuff. My bath salts with Lavender EO are a big hit with my testers. But I'm working on EO combo's for my bath salts and I'm going to call them "therapeutic bath salts" one for headaches & Sinus, one for PMS & Depression..ect.... Actually I was thinking of ordering some fo the EO blemds fro Sweet Cakes, anyone try them? But so far the favorite with my testers are the single scented Peppermint, Lavender and Lemongrass (smells like lemon heads candy) I also made a lavender/Tea Tree soap that smells very fresh and clean.
  6. I was seriously thinking of using them for my labels. Do they have bad cistomer service or something?
  7. I buy as much as I can afford. I'd like to buy even larger quatitiies but I just don't have the money. So I focus on one item at a time (ie..I started with my whipped shea and next I'll move to my bath salts etc...), I make as many as I'll need to start..then move on to the next. Sigh... It would be nice to buy everything at once and in very large quatities to save money.
  8. Wow this is fascinating! I'm a massage therapy student and plan to specialize in natural pain managment. This is something I'd love to learn how to make for my clients. I'd love to make a emu MSM creme with therapeutc Essential oils. That would be great.
  9. That is a fantastic recipe! I was thinking about that this afternoon. I made a bath of peppermint/eucalyptus salts and I was soaking in the tub this afternoon and I started thinking about a food soak just like that! I'm curious about how much different it is with or without the menthol and just upping the peppermint. I love that tingly sensation for the feet. I'll try it our next week!
  10. I just found another company that sells it. I'm tempted to call them up and ask them where they get it. LOL! I know they'd tell me to take a flying leap! http://www.elisecosmetics.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=178
  11. Can anyone help me? I want to make something inspired by the Sedona Arizona/Red Rock area. I was looking for red clay coming from the southwest USA. I'm thinking a Red Clay soap in a kokopelli mold. I would just love that! There is a company called "Amber" that makes a Sedona and French Red mud mask. It's wonderful! But I don't know where they get the Sedona clay. I've been googling my head off for days. Does anyone have the slghtest idea? Even if you can help me with search terms that would be great. I've tried "sedona mud" "arizona red clay" and every variation of those with the words soap, spa, bulk, wholesale.....
  12. Keep them in a cooler? Okay I can do that. There is the thought of people walking around with them leaving them in their car etc.... and getting home to a melted jar of shea butter. Well I can always consider just selling 100% shea butter with EO's--- minus the "whipped" just "poured" That would be disappointing because it's so wonderful whipped. Does anyone else have any tricks or tips? I better stock up on coolers to lug around this summer.
  13. ....the Farmers Market and outdoor craft shows? It suddenly hit me that it could melt and deflate outside all day in the summer! I live in Illinois. We might be in for another hot and humid summer. But Waaaa! I really want to sell my 100% whipped shea!! Can it be done? Selling it outside in the summer?
  14. When I'm picking your brain I LIKE rambling. lol. Thanks!
  15. I've been away from this site for quite a while but I'm wanting to make soap again so I'm back. I was about to place an order with one of the companies I've use in the past...WSP or NG. Those companies are fine but now that I'm back here I keep hearing about SFIC and how great it is. Are all their MP bases great or any particular ones? Are they really harder and sweat less? I'd really appreciate your feedback because I've wasted a lot of cashola in the past buying products that I liked but wasn't totally thrilled with.
