  1. I contacted them when I was looking and they told me they're not polypropylene and didn't have the 5 on the bottom. They might be good just for sniffies, but for tarts I'd be worried about the tarts loosing their scent.
  2. These are the ones I got. I bought the 2 oz ones, there's not a photo of them on that site, but I went to the site of the manufacturer and they are the shallow ones, not the taller, narrow size. http://www.foodservicedirect.com/index.cfm/S/329/N/97292/Conex_Complement_Polypropylene_Portion_Cups,_Lids.htm
  3. That's where I ended up re-ordering from! LOL In your experience is their shipping normally faster than they quote? I ordered yesterday and was quoted the 22nd as a delivery date. I'm so anxious to get these that waiting almost another 2 weeks is going to kill me! LOL It did end up being cheaper than the other place, and hopefully less headache- I don't know how I missed them the first time around but I hope it's a better experience!
  4. I had been debating for several months whether I should change my packaging to this. Usually when I pour tarts I make several hundred at a time, and with less than 100 molds, it gets very time consuming having to pour, wait, unmold ,bag. label etc. I think going to this method would save me a TON of time. So when this thread came up I decided to go for it. I did some searching online and found polypropylene cups at www.suitesupply.com Their prices with shipping ended up being the cheapest for me. I just want to warn everyone that I had a horrible experience with them, and I wouldn't recommend them if you're considering this option. When I checked out, their cheapest shipping option would have taken over 2 weeks to get to me. So I paid for an upgraded shipping for them to get here faster. I was given an estimated arrival date. When that date came and went, I emailed them asking for tracking or shipping information and after getting a huge run around for several hours, I was informed that they hadn't even shipped them yet. There was NO communication from the company that there was a delay in shipping, no apology or explaination...nothing! I'd be much more understandable had I been notified, but the fact that I paid for a faster shipping and the items hadn't even been shipped after the date I was quoted for arrival was inexcusable to me. I cancelled the order but am still awaiting a refund. Just wanted to send out a warning to those that are thinking of doing it this way and buying from them.
  5. The Candle Source has a great Vicks FO. Making the unpetroleum jelly would have been my suggestion as well, but I've never made it.
  6. I've only tried one and never felt the need to look for another. I use Millcreeks. I love it- can't keep it in stock right now.
  7. I use MC's version. I LOVE it! Great throw in both soy and paraffin also.
  8. I've used the Amber Romance- it's really nice. I've always had great luck with Becky's oils- off the top of my head some of the killer throwers that I've tried that aren't on your list already are Citrus Linen H20, Mojito Cocktail, Bear Claws, Toffee Macchiato, Mandarin Mimosa, Tangerine Tulip, Caramel Apple and Yahoo Berry Lemonade. I know there are more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
  9. Like I said, I'm going purely off memory, which isn't that great these days! I could be totally off! LOL
  10. I've tried the Brown Sugar and Fig, Cinnamon (it's been awhile and I'm out of it, but I'm pretty sure it was a red hot type of cinnamon) and the Tropical Tuberose. All threw wonderful and the BSF and TT worked well in B&B items. I don't much care for the tuberose, it's a heavy floral to me, but my customers tend to like it!
  11. I use borax or arm and hammer washing soda. I don't have a scientific way of doing it- I just dump FO in until it smells good! LOL I tried baking soda but the consistensy of it wasn't as nice as the borax or washing soda and was much harder to get out of the shaker.
  12. I'm currently using MC's container wax with a touch of beeswax. I've heard really good things about the LP416 wax and want to try it, none of my regular suppliers have it- where can it be purchased?
  13. Like others, I have many that are over a year and a half old that still smell just fine. Just make sure you're not packaging in polyetyhlene and you should be fine!
  14. I ordered this last week and it came in yesterday. I haven't poured it yet- OOB all I smell is orange. Does any of the pepper scent come out when burning?
  15. I'll second Just Scent's Bear Claws! It's YUMMY!
  16. Snuggle Baby, Summer Breeze, Moonlight Magic, Wildberry Crisp, Cran-Apple, Cucumber and Cantalope and Raspberry Tomato Leaf are the ones I've tried from there. They are ALL awesome!
  17. BCN Lemon Pucker, JC Lemon Sugar and Peaks Lemon Pound Cake are all great lemon scents- I couldn't pick a favorite.
  18. I use 4794 and had the same problem with that scent. No matter what I did, it just wouldn't mix. I bumped up my wax temp, warmed the FO...nothing worked for me. I could get it to mix in soy though...so maybe it's just some sort of reaction with 4794?
  19. Does Peaks even have a cider? I don't remember ever seeing it on their list.
  20. The cinnamon cider from JS is very close, if not identical to mulled cider from Snowtop. One of my favorites!
  21. I'll second the Sunflower from MC!
  22. The bags at WalMart are not polypro. I remember checking with the manufacturer of them when I first started making tarts.
  23. Litsea and Basil is nice, it's unique, clean and fresh and has a great throw. Magenta Nectar- threw nice but I can't say it's a scent I personally liked. It's overly sweet and there's notes of something in there that makes me want to hurl :X LOL Satin Sheets- one of my favorites. It's VERY different than Satin Sheets from Natures Garden if you've ever tried that one. This version is much more clean and fruity than NG's version. It has good throw and is awesome in B&B. Haven't tried the twigs and berries from MC.
  24. Snuggle Baby, Cherry Slush, White Clouds, Cran-Apple, Moonlight Magic, Wildberry Crisp, Summer Breeze and Raspberry Tomato Leaf are all I've tried- and they are all awesome!! Snuggle baby and Cherry Slush are among my top sellers.
