  1. Millcreek's Nishiki Grapefruit
  2. Yes yes...I know I need to get London Lemon Curd...I've been resisiting temptation for too long and since they now have the Chocoholics dupe from Aquolina, I definitely have to order. So...anyone have any recommendations for other good ones from there? Anything I can't live without?
  3. Ohhh man...between this and the LLC I think I'm finally going to be FORCED to order from there. I haven't smelled the FO- but I smelled this perfume at a Sephora store last month and absolutely loved it ...and I typically hate hate hate chocolate smells.
  4. I use Millcreek's. It works very well in soy, paraffin and b&b.
  5. Very interesting. I can't keep my bakery scents in stock...stinks for me because I hate them! LOL Everyone on that list is a top seller for me. The only scents that don't sell well for me are florals.
  6. I have never melted mine. This thread is the first time I've ever heard of someone melting it! LOL
  7. I do the paper towel thing too. I wouldn't suggest water- I accidentally got water in my burner before and it spit and sputtered hot wax out of the bowl. I'm not familiar with the wax you're using, is it soy? If so, perhaps try adding just and ounce or two of beeswax to each pound of your wax. That seems to help!
  8. I add sweet almond oil, jojoba spheres and FO to it and use like a body wash. Or SAO and sugar for a sugar scrub. Tea tree oil and lavender EO along with ground apricot seeds for a face scrub. Ummm...coffee grounds with some sugar and a good coffee FO for a coffee scrub. Peppermint EO and salt for a foot scrub. I think that's all I make with it. Never had an issue with it being hard, inconsistent or separating. It can be drying but adding the SAO to it seems to help with that, at least for me. It's my favorite "stuff" to play with!
  9. The only one I have is the scandalous one. I just recently got it and I LOVE it. I did drop the KS off it though and just call it scandalous.
  10. I've been wanting to try this recipe for quite awhile now, and finally have everything I need to do it. I have a question though...Is there any reason why I can't mix up ALL of the ingredients and add my FO once it's all mixed? I'm wanting to just have this made up as a base and then scent it according to customer request when they order (after testing each of the scents I plan to offer it in of course)I won't be using colorant at all. Can I do that or should I just break up the recipe and follow the instructions verbatim each time someone orders it?
  11. I use the OMH from Millcreek. I love it so much and have had so much success with it that I've never tried it from another supplier. It doesn't smell like cookies to me at all.
  12. I like the flavor oils from MMS (www.thesage.com) They recommend a sweetener for theirs if I remember correctly, but I've never used them in my lip balms. I've also tried the ones from BCN, they're presweetened (I think! LOL) and they're good as well.
  13. Pink Sugar and Oatmeal, Milk and Honey are my biggest sellers. Pink Sugar is an Aquolina duplication. It's a personal favorite but it's hard for me to describe. Peaks and Daystar both have excellent Pink Sugar FO.
  14. That's so weird to me that you think Magenta Nectar and Mandarin Mimosa smell the same. Magenta nectar makes me gag, and mandarin mimosa is one of my favorites-lol I don't think they smell the same at all to me. Only duplications I can think of offhand are Daystars Polynesian Delight, Peaks' Jamaica Me Crazy and NG's Bermuda Triangle all smell the same to me.
  15. The only one on your list that I have tried is Kitchen Spice...it's awesome!!! The Honey and Shea is to die for IMO. Purple Mist is really nice too- it's becoming one of my best sellers. I can't remember the others I have tried offhand but they were good -with the exception of Watermelon Martini...and I personally think it smelled like dirty feet-lol
  16. You said he's had them before...does he always have them and they're just more red than normal? My daughter and I both have those red bumbs on the back of our arms and tops of our thighs. It's a hereditary condition called Keratosis Pilaris...and unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it. It has something to do with your body making excess karatin and it clogging the pores or something like that. They never go away for us, but regular exfoliation and moisturization keeps them from getting worse. I'm not saying this is what he has, but from the location of them and your description, that's my guess. I'd definitely follow the advice given about seeing an MD or dermatologist though.
  17. I've recently tried Sunshine, Strawberry Spa and Serendipity. I don't really care for the Sunshine because it seems to have notes of cut grass in it, which really set my allergies off. It does throw well, it's just not something I like. Strawberry Spa is really good. It's unique and throws very well and is one of my new personal favorites. Serendipity is another one I really don't care for, however I sold out of this one the first day I had it available and have a ton of requests for more. People really seem to love it. Throws great!
  18. Another vote for Snowtop's here!
  19. The only one I have tried is the buttercream crunch. It worked very well in soy and paraffin. It's delish!
  20. I need to reorder a few scents from there I carry and thought about getting some samples from KY Candle and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I've got Cherry Slush, Summer Breeze, Moonlight Magic and Wildberry Crisp from there. Any must haves?
  21. Wildberry Zinger tea from BCN and Peaks' Green Tea and White tea and Ginger are all very good if that helps.
  22. Millcreek has a strong one, but it's COMPLETELY different in smell than NG's IMO. I prefer NG's version of it.
  23. I have never ever had issues or complaints with FOs from NG if it makes you feel better! Some of my favorites from there are Downy Clean Breeze, Downy Lavender Vanilla, Kama Sutra Scandalous, Pumpkin Crunch Cake, Calming Waters...that's all I can remember off hand, but I've never been disappointed with anything from them before.
  24. I can't find it at my walmart. We do have a hobby lobby though- if they carried it, in what section would I be most likely to find it? I'm in the same boat, I just need a small amount and don't want to pay the shipping on it!
