  1. Thanks a heap! It's always nice to get a pat on the back!
  2. IMO, the silicone works the best. Glue can be stringy at times, and can loosen up if you pull your wicks too much. I have to give Stella the credit for turning us on to silicone!
  3. I haven't heard of that company, but thelittleblackboxes.com seems to get good response.
  4. Not sure what you used, but it looks brown to me. But I think it looks so much better than the first try. WTG!
  5. LOL... Hubby said it is adorable... and he'll take a lime green and black one!
  6. Wow! I read that really fast and it didn't look good. :tiptoe:
  7. There are pics of my newest soaps in the B&B gallery for examples of how the black works out when photographing. As I said before, once you have a good background image, you can change the colors to whatever you like, ie. to suit your website color scheme. If anyone needs graphic help, feel free to message me. Tristan
  8. Personally, I use black leather desk blotters I got from American Express. But in the past I've used regular black poster board. Sheets of foam core work very well also. I do suggest using matte finishes rather than glossy, as lighting and glare from the shiny sides can create headaches. Regardless of what materials you use, Photoshop or similar tools are a must. As a graphic designer, I couldn't live without them.
  9. DO IT DO IT!! SHES A BADDDDD GIRLLLLLLLLLL!
  10. Absolutely love the wine bag! She should be put on time out for her bad bad influencing.
  11. Just something I did really quick... after all it's 5am! :lipsrseal
  12. You're getting there. As a thumbnail, it looks perfectly fine, but the larger version you can tell were you edited. I'm telling ya... try a black background. If you want to change it to white after you take the photo, it is much easier to edit.
  13. Oh I was hooked before I started.
  14. These are our first batches we did last week. Lots of fun! This week we start swirls! Banana Goat's Milk Oatmeal Sweet Honey
  15. Yea... unfortunately, the program is extremely expensive... and when they come out with a new version every other year, it sucks. CS4 Master Collection ran me $2,500. :rolleyes2 Perhaps if it wasn't online, you could do your work on campus. Is that an option for you?
  16. Do you have Photoshop? There are a lot of online tutorial sites. Just google Photoshop editing or something like that.
  17. I prefer using black background for my photos, as I do a lot of photoshop work afterward for ads and so on. It is so much easier to remove after the fact than white. I also find that white rarely comes out as true white unless you have a great camera, and good lighting.
  18. Not bad, but I would turn off the date stamp on your camera.
  19. I wonder if I could put Hubby in some resin! Hmmmm
  20. Depending on how tall they are, you could possibly use a label on the side, but I'd recommend using a round label on either the top or bottom. WorldLabels.com has a great selection as well as free downloadable templates. HTH Tristan
