  1. I've tried both, and def. prefer liquid. Blocks and chips are too time consuming IMO. When making a batch, you have to cut off a chip, and it ends up not being enough... so you add another chip, and its too much. But I would try both to see what you like best, what works best with your waxes and wicks. Tristan
  2. HAHA... I'll keep that in mind. Love to see your bars when they are done. Tristan
  3. Well how about that! I'll have to try that sometime.
  4. I don't think I've ever heard of such a soap. What makes it special? As for additives, there are complete lists on the forums.
  5. HAHA! Thanks hun... That's what Mom is for! She has a medical condition (lymphademia), so she has to take showers and sit on her chair in the tub to rest. She said "you know I can't get in the tub to take baths..." which I replied... "I know, but you can always fill up the tub and soak your tootsies." And we made Patchouli especially for Hubby's mom. :lipsrseal It is super strong, in a good way. I guess I'll never be a hippy!
  6. While the colors look intense in the package, they only tint the water slightly. Nothing to be concerned over. I actually find that my bubble bath from B&BW colors my water a lot more than our salts do, especially the cherry pie scent. Talk about bloody water! As for being all natural, granted that are dyed, but with approved dyes, and only contain the slightest fraction by weight of the overall ingredients. They are labeled on the backs with the scents, as well as the Net Wt. and ingredients per INCI regulations.
  7. They aren't super hard to make if you have a good recipe.
  8. Thanks very much.... I'm so proud of them.... especially the labels.
  9. I like CM's Strawberry and Strawberries and Cream
  10. Too much dye can clog your wicks, but adding the recommended few drops is just fine.
  11. Thanks for the sympathy... but somehow I'll get by. I think I got it to work though, at least with my black cherry. I used some Violet with the Purple, and it turned out tinted Purple...
  12. We finally finished our first production of bath salts... here are a few of them: Wild Cherry, Apple Sugar, Banana Pudding, Vanilla Bean, Lavender, Lemon Custard, Melon Creme, Pink Grapefruit, Rich Chocolate, Island Mango, Strawberry, Coconut Cream, Rainbow, Patchouli, Sunflower, Oatmeal Cookie, and Honey
  13. I ordered the kit, but unfortunately, the INCI's weren't listed on their site (at least I couldn't find them), nor on the bottles. I am going to shoot them an email and hope they can provide them. They are closed for the weekend thou, so I was wondering if anyone had them saved. Thanks Tristan
  14. I believe micas or other powdered dyes bring truer colors than liquids. As I said in a recent post, our bath salts dyed purple came out green, but do turn purple in the water.
  15. Perhaps adding cinnamon sticks and so on would look great, provided you didn't wick them. Other than that... :tiptoe::tiptoe::tiptoe:
  16. Hubby poured one exactly like the purple, yellow, and green candle about a month ago. Black Cherry, Lemon, Kiwi
  17. In that they are liquid? They aren't always totally interchangeable. Yes, mostly all FO can be used in candles (some are trickier than others of course). But check with your suppliers first to see if they are body safe, or can be used in other applications. Note: I realize that they were asking about FO use in candles, but that worried me alil. Heaven forbid a newbie would stumble upon the thread and think all FO's can be used for anything.
  18. Business has been good recently for the most part. (knock on wood) We are testing our new B&B line, soaps, salts, bombs, and balms. Shipping was so-so. Probably around 20% of the total cost. We use suppliers in the tri-state, so that helps keep everything reasonable, not to mention the fast arrival times.
