Our tarts in a ceramic electric warmer can last days or weeks depending on the scent. I have nag champa in now, and its been going for like 2 weeks+ at about 12 hours or so per day, and it still smells great.

If I am understanding your question correctly, you melt down old candles to make yours? If that's the case, there is no way to know that all the candles are the same. Yes, you may be using the same molds, but the actual wax that you are using (the remelted wax) may all be of different age/quality. The only thing I would use old candles like that for is for testing molds, layering, so on, and MAYBE, to use chips to tint my candles. Aside from that, pick yourself up a tester kit from any other the online retailers or your local craft store. They range in price, but you can typically get your feet wet and your head on straight for a reasonable amount out of pocket. HTH Tristan

Yes, I have used both and they feel great to me. The oatmeal is flying off the shelves and everyone seems every pleased. Hubbys dad bought a 1/2 dozen bars for the ladies at his work and they couldn't be more happy. The banana isn't as rough as it looks actually. It reminds me of the lil beads that are in the hand sanitizers.

Love Em! Hubby would like the bubble gum. He had me order some bubble gum and cotton candy fos last month to make some layered pillars.

I was looking at those today actually at WSP. And yes, they do recommend as much as 50% fo. I think that would be overkill. 25% however seems reasonable. I was also looking at the room spray base from CandleMakers. It is a lot cheaper, but they don't have fo recommendations listed. Anyone try their's yet?

See.. that's what I thought. I mean, I'm sure if you use lots of tape, wax paper, plastic wraps, and so on it would work, but why go through the hassle and expensive, when M&P molds are super cheap.

How bout that! I thought it was too thin and would seep out.

Our normal bars are 3.5" x 2.5" x 1" For sampling, I cut the bars in half. ----- I don't believe M&P can be done in a shoe box.

Don't throw anything out. Give it away on here, or sell it.

It happens! Try smelling some coffee grounds after each whiff to reset your nose.
