Thanks BeagleBaby. We have one of those ourselves. I just made some more candles and poured at a hotter temp so we'll see how that goes. I will wait for these to cure some and see what happens. Then I guess I will try a blend, if need be. I'm using an ounce and a half of FO to 1 pound of wax, so hopefully I won't have too much of a problem with throw, which I see some of you are/were having with the CBA alone. I'm sure I'll be back to check up on some other problems I'll encounter along the way. Dawn

Hello all, I did a search but could not find anyone in the database info. thread that blends what I would like to blend so, if this info is already out there, I apologize in advance for repeating. I have EZ soy and CBA and I would like to try and blend these together. I'm not sure how much of each to blend though. I wanted to check here first before I ventured off and tried it myself. I have never worked with CBA before, so this wax is, well, a whole new ball of wax for me. I just poured my first jar of it though. According to what some of you pour at, I hope it comes out right because I poured about 125 and I see it should have been much higer (165) for my 8 oz. JJ's. I do see that the parasoy blends are either 70/30 or 50/50. Can the EZ and CBA be blended in the same way, or not? And when blending these two together, what would be the best temps to add the chips, FO, and then pour? Do you find a happy medium between the two wax types or what? I'm am hating the frost that EZ brings out and I am finding a lot of scents (all from BC so far) that are not producing any HT. Not sure if it's the wax's/FO's fault or mine though. I don't usually wait 24 hours before putting on the lids, so this could be a part of my problem? I just feel that leaving the lid off will let the scent escape more. DON'T DO IT!!! I did this with a kit I received before going to a large supplier. It burnt my microwave on the door where the sticker is on the inside front of the microwave and a spot on the sticker itself. DON'T DO IT!!! Dawn

I have an HP that loads from the bottom. It has a slider that you can adjust to the width of the paper. I have no problems with it lining up from left to right at all. My only problem is that it never prints out the same way more than once and is starting to make me go bald over here. I think my printer is possessed or something. Dawn

I don't make as many candles as you but what I do is I place my jars on a cookie sheet and turn the oven on low. When it hits the low temp, I turn off the oven and place my jars in the oven for a bit. I take them out to get them back down to a cooler temp but not too cool. One other thing I do, that I didn't see you mention, is place them in the dishwasher and wash them all before using. I store them back in the box upside down so as not to get dust or hairs in them. And who said anything about not spilling it? I should be taking stock in popscicle sticks. I know what you mean about arthritis. I have that in my left thumb and tendonitis in the rest of those fingers. Thankfully I am not in "full-time" production and only pour about 3 pounds at a time right now. Dawn

Stella, I use the presto pot but I just pour into my pour pots right from the presto. Should I not be doing this and ladling it out? Thanks. Dawn

Unless you have a steady hand and a good eye, I would add the EZ wick setter tool to make sure the wicks are on center. I would also add the wick centering tool to keep the wick straight after you pour them. I find these easier that popscicle sticks. Now I use the popscicle sticks to scrape the wax off of the centering tools, clean excess wax off my counter and floor. Dawn

Are you washing the jars before you use them? What's the temp. in your house when you pour them/store them? You can use the heat gun to warm the sides of the jars to get rid of the the sweat spots and to smooth the tops of the candles. Dawn

I really like those christmas ones. I don't use HTP's though. Would an eco 8 work in that? Is there a comparison chart someone could point me too to find this answer? I like the tea mug too. How did you make the marshmallows though? And what scent is it? Thanks. Dawn

I am not sure about cinnamon because I have never tested that scent, but I mixed a batch of caramel apple over a month ago and every single one of them (used up a whole 8 oz bottle) smell like wax burning with no scent too. And I'm not the only one that thinks so. So I wouldn't think that she would be fibbin' to ya. It can happen. Dawn

I just double checked what Beth said and I'll be darned if it didn't work that way. I guess you learn something new everyday. My 8 oz JJ weighed 5 7/8 oz. filled up to the first "thread" towards the bottom. HTH Dawn

Mine doesn't show up as - whatever the size is. It always shows up as 0. Dawn

If you tare out the empty jar and then place the finished jar on the scale you will still get the weight of the whole finished jar. What you want to do is subtract the weight of the empty jar from the finished jar. That would be the weight of just the wax, correct? Dawn

I don't know if they go bad or not. I was just wondering that myself. I poured some Caramel Apple from BCN 6 days ago and I can get a faint smell when I take off the lid. I just started burning one today and it's on it's second 3-4 hour burn and still nothing. I made a whole batch using that scent and nadda. Dawn

I just poured a strawberries & cream from BCN yesterday and OMG, the scent is to die for. I want to burn it now so bad, but will wait patiently for at least 2 more days to see how strong it really gets. Dawn

Will be going to my moms and pouring 13 test candles to decide which christmas scents we are going to add to our new product line. Also will be praying that my caramel apple scented candles start smelling like caramel apple. lol Dawn

BCN has the double wicker ezwicker. I don't see why the glue gun wouldn't work. I have a glue gun but the wick stickums would be quicker for me. Dawn

Coconut oil helps with the throw too, correct? Or does that just help with the frost? Dawn

I am using Caramel Apple. They cured for about 5 days before they started with the frost on the sides of the glass and about 3 days before I seen it on the tops. I am mixing my wax/FO for about 3 minutes or more too. I was using a metal spoon. Could that have had anything to do with it? Doesn't matter because since I got my new man, I mean presto pot (not sure how I kept going without this sucker) I just went out and bought a plastic spoon, when I bought the coconut oil for the dang frost.
