  1. If my phone rings while I am cooking a batch, I just let it ring and if they want to leave a message, more power to 'em. Oh, and I have a big fundraiser that I am doing in honor of DH's aunt. She passed away on Tuesday, which was the day that I decided I was going to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. I think of it as a calling. I am for sure going to be picking up a presto pot, hopefully tomorrow since that's when UPS will be making a visit. Dawn
  2. I use the EZ soy and my tarts come out of the ice cube tray just fine, when I remember to coat the tray with cooking spray first. Dawn
  3. It was lowered because of the shipping. They guessedimated that it would be $89.65 the first time and it dropped $54.11. Now I can relax and breath knowing that all my items were in. Now if I could get into their forum, I would be a happy camper. Clearing my cache and all that jazz didn't help either, and I haven't been able to get in since yesterday morning. Dawn
  4. The order was 95.2094 lbs. so I know it's not the hundred weight discount. I guess I will have to call them and find out since they have yet to answer my last email. Thanks. Dawn
  5. Hello, I just placed an order with BCN yesterday and received the email stating that the order was charged. The problem I'm having is that the charged order email is $54 off from the first email I received shortly after placing the order. Could they have over estimated by that much, or I'm I going to receive another email telling me that some items could not be ordered? Thanks. Dawn
  6. This is one reason why I choose to work with soy. I get that stuff all over the place. I think I see a winter project in the basement for DH when the snow starts flying. Move me downstairs with a presto pot. Dawn
  7. That's good to hear, because I am about to order some of it here soon to start my tarts. Dawn
  8. I was wonding how much wax does the 24 count clamshells from BC hold? How about the 6 count? Thanks. Dawn
  9. I have verbena berry candles that has been curing for about two weeks now and I notice that one of them has a dark yellow spot on the top of it that wasn't there before. Not sure what caused it though. Oh, and that candle is not as strong smelling as the other one, and they are from the same batch of wax. Dawn
  10. I have some creme brulee tarts going and I notice a dark brown spot in the bottom of it. I only used 1 oz to a pound so I'm not sure if that brown spot is the FO? Dawn
  11. Thanks for sharing this. I am by no means a math expert and was trying to figure out how to do the numbers for just one jar. Dawn
  12. I just weighed one of the tarts I made yesterday and one weighs 7/8 of an ounce. Would I be charging too much if I priced them at $1.00 each? Also, what's the cheapest way to package them? Thanks. Dawn
  13. I popped them in the freezer for a few and they did not come out easy. I have a bag of chunks now. But I did send DH to the store for some cooking spray and made another batch. They came out perfect. Now I can start to make some kind of money since I have tested the FO's using the 12 jars I got with my kit. Thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it. Dawn
  14. I just wanted to let ya all know that I have cured my wet spot problems. I washed my jars in the dishwasher and made a batch Wednesday afternoon and don't see any spots at all. YIIIIIPPPPEEEE!!!!! Dawn
  15. Those are nice. I just did my first batch yesterday and still can't get the buggers outta the tray. Oh well, need to learn to make Pam my friend I guess. Dawn
  16. I just made my first batch of soy tarts today and have a question. I poured them into a hard plastic ice cube tray and was wondering how long should I wait to take them out and also, what is the best way to get them out? Hope they come out anyway. I forgot to spray it with cooking oil. OOPS. Thanks. Dawn
  17. Are you using the metal ones or the thick plastic ones? I need to make tarts so I can get some money coming in and this seems like the easiest thing to start with. Thanks. Dawn
  18. I called our home/auto insurance place and he told me we could add a policy to our homeowners insurance and it would only go up an extra $100 a year. HTH. Dawn
  19. I got a kit from some work at home company and melted the wax in the microwave. It burnt a spot on the inside of the door where the sticker is and melted a little spot on the inside door and made a black spot on the sticker too. So, no more wax melting in my microwave. Dawn
  20. Are you washing the jars first? I read that not washing them could create wet spots as well. Dawn
  21. I'll just have to have DH get me some pea gravel from where he use to work. Where he works now, she gets supplies from where he use to work so he can grab some for me. Thanks for that tip. Dawn
  22. I just fill a sauce pan with some water and place my pour pot inside that pan and melt my wax in the pour pot. Dawn
  23. I too will be ordering the WCT AND the Wick Setter to get the wick centered everytime. Their on my list to order hopefully next week. Dawn
  24. Go to broderbund.com and search for print shop. You can use that to make your own websites. HTH Dawn
  25. Both are nice, but I like the swirled better. I can see me swirling my honey on top of a bowl of oatmeal. Great, now I'm getting hungry. Dawn
