I somewhat disagree cause many years ago I had my own crafting business and I told everyone my "secrets" on how to make my items.......well lets say my craft business of 20 years went out of business due to the fact that everyone was so nosey and wanted to know "how I did it" that they copied me and started their own business! So I learned a valuable lesson and my mom blessed me out!!!!! LOL I have other candle biz's send their family and friends to my shoppe to try and get info of how and what I make my candles, incense, fragrance oils, and bath & body out of. I spot them a mile away! LOL I do tell the ingredients but not my formulation and and how I do it. I figure it will take a person so many months to figure it out and by then I have improved/updated my formulation and how to's and it is better than before.

yea what everybody else said that has posted and plus some! here is my 2 cents! I used to make parraffin and soy, soy/parraffin candles but gave me headaches so I had to quit! it took me forever to get my candles the way I wanted! Well guess what???? I found the palm wax about a month ago and here I go again testing, re-testing, testing and so on! For about a month! I just put my candles in my shoppe and sold out!!!!!!!!!!!! so you really need to think of which wax, type of candles, appearance, scent throw, fragrances, & containers that you want to make! THEN do a research, and more until you learn how to make them properly!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to get your own style and that takes lots of trial and error! In the begining My hubby started to make my candles and I had to fire him cause he wasn't making THE KIND of candles I wanted! When I stopped with the soy/parraffin I joined up with Mia Bella and found out that they use palm wax, I started making my own! I am tired of being nickeled and dimed to death with them! Fees around every corner with them! So I can offer my candles at a lower price than theirs cause I don't have the overhead they do! but I use different containers with the flat lid. I am keeping them around until I get all 200 of my fragrances made! Just my 2cents worth!:rolleyes2

Candlegirl I agree with ya! tht is why I wanted my labels to be different and not like anyone elses! also my candles too!

I agree with the label! it is Ugly!!!!!!!! (sorry :lipsrseal ) but since I am back in business in making my own candles again I just couldn't put those sticky labels on my jars!!! So I made those tags that are folded and printed them with my info! Front and back!!!!!!!!!!!! the inside you can put To and from for a gift! I used the gold stretchy cord and punched a hole.... run it thru and put it around the neck of my jars! I believe in "Simple but Elegant" even in country and prim style I need to take pics! I will post one in the gallery! If you guys want to see it! and I use the coreless wicks and no shrooming and very little soot or none at all!

Country, I bought a mini bundt pan with 8 minibundt cavities. My hubby drilled a hole thru the center of them! I used that putty to plug the hole and had no problem with them. I could make 8 at a time! it was wonderful and it was teflon coated too! Suzanne

I use pillar and container palm wax from candle science also and I never add more than 1 ounce of FO per pound! I love their csn wicks too!!!!!!!!! I am a power burner too and just love it!!!!!!!! My son just came in and could swear I was making fudge brownies!!!!! I just poured my fudge brownie container candles and my Cow Patties containers! and they are curing on my kitchen counter!!!! He was so diappointed!

You guys crack me up! Now I have Mtn. Dew & chocolate cookies with M&M's all over my screen and desk !!! My hubby calls mine "S'melts" for Scented Melts. but they are shaped like ice cubes!!! (long story on that shape!)

I miss making my tart pies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would sell out within 2 hours of putting them on the shelf!!!!!! I made every kind of pie you can think of!!!!!11 Good job on those!!!!!!!!!!! Now where is the fork????? and cool whip????
